so i keep getting these coupons in the mail for yellow green or red services from the dealership, just hit 13k on my motor last week(it's a 2004) doo i really need to get those things done? for example they want to charge about 160-200 for the green service which pretty much is an oil change with a filter(oh my goodness there's a surprise!)rotate tires, tighten e-brake, change transmission fluid, check timing belts, and reset car to factory settings. is it just me or is this a little excessive? and do i need to do this to my car if it only has 15k miles?

yea they had me coming in for my 15,ooo mile maintanance and my car had like 4,000 miles on it. i went ahead and let them do it cause its free anyway shit. i always hate letting the dealer guys do anything to my car though.

why was it free? i was thinking i can change my transmission fluid, i alreadyy do everyother oil change my self n-e way, and discount could rotate my tires, but i wasn't sure if it would be hard to tighten the e-brake. only thing i don't think i can do is check on the timing belts exactly and restore factory settings, but hey it only has less than 15k on it, do you think it will make a diff?

I get them all the time too. I get a lot of excessive papers from them. Goes straight to the trash. Sometimes reminding me in big bold red lettering.

WARNING: Maintenence Needed. 15k blah blah

it was free, cause i was about to walk out of the dealership and the finance guy said he would throw in free maintance if i would buy my celi from him. so now no matter the maintance schedule or mileage, i just walk in and hand them my little paper he gave me.
