Has anyone seen that Ground Zero silver dollar? They recovered the silver from ground zero. To me that's a disgusting and disrespectful thing to do and to make money off of. We should just take peoples teeth and make a commemorative ash tray also.

Well, they are not going to leave a billion dollars worth of gold, silver & other precious metals in the pile. They have to salvage what they can. Just remember that when you go to buy a car, the steel may very well have come from there. The salvaged steel flooded the recycled metal market & prices world wide dropped.

Yah, your right. Its not just recovering the metal, but selling the tragedy & making money on it.

how is that any different than making a small iwo jima memorial and selling that? yeah, okay, it is a bit soon, and that is disrespectful, but (devil's advocate) they've gotta do something with it.
