I have it on for a week or two now, the first mistake I probably made was putting it in myself. The engine light keeps coming on. I'll unplug the battery and it goes off for a couple of days but then it comes back. Everyone keeps telling be to be careful of hydrolocking. Now I've got a lite white smoke coming from the exhaust, looks like condensation.Theres also some water dripping out of the exhaust. Why would I have that? Every time I bring this to toyota there just going to bend me over. I need someone aho has pics of an aem Intake done right and any important steps I might have missed. I want to bring it to a performanece shop but I live in Connecticut , not cali so there aren't to many around.I don't trust toyota. Please help me before I really fuck up my car.

little drips of water out of the exhaust are basically normal. even the new cars do that right out of the lot. check engine light is more then likley telling you that there is a disconnected or unclamped hose some where. double check or take a pic of your motor so we can see.

check engine isnt always something wrong with the motor. its just an indication that a a piece of smog equipment is not working properly.

Instead of being pissed at your car all the time & worried, just put the stock airbox back in. They do a damn good job. thumbsup

the trick to not getting a CEL is to install it correctly.
