sittin at a light and out of nowhere i get smashed from behind. never saw it coming. it knocked my radar detector out of the window, the knob off of the a/c control and the garage opener went flying. i was sure that it was some really bad damage. we were blocking traffic so we pull over to mcdonalds to check it out. i looked at it and at first it didn't seem that bad. the guy is 17, with his friend, and he's actin all nervous. i'm like i wanna get a police report. he asks why and tries to get out of it. then he admitted that he was 17, didn't have a license yet, had taken his mom's car without her knowing, had beer in the car, and wasn't insured. i looked more and more and started noticing all kinds of stuff wrong with it. the bumper is out of alignment. the tailpipe is bent. the lip on the bottom is all scratched, and the little notches are bent outward. the cop finally comes and my girlfriend is pissed, so she tells the cop that the kid has beer, and all the other stuff. he ends up getting charged for possession of alcohol by a minor, and driving with no license. his mom comes and flips out on him. at first she's lal mad at us because she doesn't see the damage. then she finds out he's been drinking and thanks us over and over again for her her soon hitting my car. well i get all of my body work done by my aun't boyfriend. he painted my entire car and put on my wings west kit and wing for $420 back in may. and he does awesome work. so when i get this estimate, she wants to pay me in cash so that her insurance doesn't go up real high. i'm considering two options... a) take the money and get a kaminari rear bumper, pocket the extra (if there is any). b) just have the bumper repaired for really cheap and pocket the cash, using it towards wheels and tires or springs. sucks that i got hit, but its gonna be ok.

I would just go with getting the rear fixed back to how it was and use the rest of the money to whatever is you want. But hey that sucks that has happend to you. Atleast no one got hurt You can replace a bumper but not a person. But hey good luck to you and repairing your car! Sucks that it happend to a yet another beautiful celica like this one

Keep the Wings West. You have one of the cleanest, nicest celicas here IMO. A kam rear just wouldn't flow as well.
