there would be too much conflict, i guess its possible. they probably meant modules for an alarm.. like adding features to it like back up battery, window roll up, accessory relay, radar, etc.

exactly what i was wondering why have two alarms.. cause if one goes off wouldn't the other one as well?? so then you'd just have loud mess

oh yeah some factory alarms can connect to an aftermarket alarm so basicly you have two alarms but all it is adding features to stock keyless

i have two alarms in my car, not by choice. ..
i went to my car audio place and had them install one of their top of the line alarms, and i asked them if they take out my stock one. And they said that what they do is hook the two up together and they both works.
there is no conflict if wired right, i guess. i didn't wire it so i dont know.
i thinkn that it is too much of an effort to take out the stock alarm, then to just hook another one up to it
i do know that some of the features like "glass break sensor" in the stock alarm will set off both alarms now.
also the noise that it makes is like 5 times as loud. . .

I knew of one person who, had a an suv with a ricidlous stereo in the back, so his regular alarm was wired to all 4 doors, tail, and hood, then he bought a cheap hornet alarm and wired it into the battery in the back and just to the rear tailgate. That way if someone broke in, they could cut the other alarm but the one in the back would still be going off and it would take a damn long time for any theif to disarm it.
