I was cruising around this weekend and decided to go to the hobby store...I was watching some of the guys there with the Gas powered RC cars...the really fast ones , and I've also seen some guys with models of their own cars at car shows...sooooo...I decided to make one of my celica...I'm gonna paint if yellow to match my car, and I took a side pic of my car to the graphics shop and they are blowing it up just a little to put it on the side my RC car body ...to make it a personalized miniature of my car...its gonna be F***ing sweet...the body is like damn near 20 inches long ...and the rc chassis and engine I bought for it are supposed to propel the little bastard at like 50 mph!!! here is a teaser:

its gonna end up being like $150 ish total...driveable and everything...with the body painted and the vinyl to match my car...I got a hook up on the chassis part because normally they are like $200 + without the body or radio...oh yeah, and the body by itself cost me $24.00 plus paint, and the graphics which are gonna be like $10.00...its not too bad and it will be tons of fun...plus I can get other bodies if I want to...they have the viper GTS-R, both lotus elises, the diablo, the diablo GTr, the gallardo, the murcielago, the 911 GT Turbo, the mercedes benz clk-GTR...WRC car bodies...just friggin everything

what's funny bout these cars are...they seem to have same principles are big cars although smaller and no driver inside. if you wanna be a mechanic someday, owning one of these cars would practice you a lot before you tackle the big ones... have fun AZZKIKR maybe someday i will race with it

$150??? wow dats very cheap...i bought mine for almost 500. had to put it together, paint, remote, servo, battery, etc...but it was worth it. i guess the price went down but i doubt its around 150...are you talking bout the rs4 3 ss??? b/c the ss is 50+mph out of the box
really nice thing bout those cars are you can also put lights on them hahahaha

That celica doesn't look like the NRS4 3. The engine look like the earliest ones in HPI. I think that's the reason why it's so cheap is coz its one of the earlier version of NRS4 RTR and they making room for the newer models. Anyway, for a beginner car HPI is the best.

Somewhat off topic but I used to race electric r/c cars for TSA. My team got a sponsor and we built a $900 car that could hit 70mph ...and yes that was electric. EVERYTHING on that car was carbon fiber too...well except for the bodies...those were plastic...but it is definitely a great hobby! Very intense! The rest of my team members moved and took the car with them...so unfortunately i can't post any pics...

There was an article I saw from last year with a heavily modified electric R/C that went top speed of 100+ MPH. I forgot the name of the magazine, but I'm sure you can ask people who knows more a lot about electric R/C about it.

I just posted the pic for the body...and yeas its a nitro RS4 AWD setup...and yeah, ok...maybe not 50 mph, but still 39 mph is pretty good for me...this is my first one...Ive never played with them before...I bought the chassis, and radio, etc this weekend, and it came out to like $214.XX with all the bullshit it takes to get it on the road...I'll try to make a video soon, and post pics when I can...I'm taking a pic of my car to the graphics shop to get some made for the RC car
