I read all the instructions on the install, and was still left confused. I took it off, or atleast i think i took it off. If this is the butterfly piece, then i did it correct. So this is the butterfly part correct? And i leave it out of my car?

leave that out, plug the hose and voila wave

I tried taking the white part out...its near impossible, i got to the point of almost breaking it spineyes

Yeah, step 4 has you take the entire valve out. That will prevent all restrictions.

took mine out on wednesday with polykarb... sounds sweet around 3,200 RPM's

Yah, the entire black thing comes out & you plug the vacuum line. Improved the sound of my GT quite a bit: thumbsup
