Mines in the rafters of the garage. It fell partially off on three occassions; twice after oil changes & once when I hydroplaned through a huge puddle. I din't want the hassle anymore.

I took mine off just b/c I enjoy being under my car a lot lol. I threw it out, but I would leave it on if I were you. The drag with it off is ridiculous as it will slow you down as well as hurt your fuel economy on the freeway. you'll get this unsettled feeling. when I had it on, I always felt the front downforce but not again (or close to it) until I dropped 2".
I get my kicks on EC.

I took off part of mine...the passenger side piece in front of that..i dont know if you call it a skidplate or what. The previous owner hit a parking block and it partially tore off...and started dragging so i took it out..so i can't even rig it back on and would need a new one. Anyone know where you can get new ones?

i took mine off too. It was a pain in the ass taking it off everytime I had an oil change. However, I am still curious to know if there are any negative outcomes by not having this piece of plastic in place?

No worries. Just the underbody plastics. Supposedly, they help protect the undercarriage, but if they keep comming off, just remove them completely.

AutoZone has them for about $3 for a box of 15. The ones for "Toyota" fit loosely, so I tried the chubbier "Ford" ones and their better than OEM!!

leave it off, less weight, and wen you change ur oil you wont have to take it out and put it back on, nothing wrong with it, all it does is just keeps the engine from getting dirty from under the car but who cares, just leave it off

i dont think theres really any effect on the car, cause i dont think i go fast enough for the wind drag to effect the car that much. Do you think Toyota put it there to be a pain in the butt so we would just take it to them to do an oil change?
