Hey guys and gals, i need a few ideas for a pretty good car or suv for my parents to buy. My dads been looking at shit cars like Kia and Hyundai at around 23k. My mom asked me to find some nice cars for around 23-27 so shes not stuck with a car with a nice warrenty and not luxury at all. Shes looking for something like BMW mercedes or Lexus even toyota or mazada. Give me some ideas!
Autotrader.com, cars.com, carsdirect.com are the most extensive databases, and you can filter on vehicle color, highest acceptable mileage and price, or on specific keywords (like GTS, leather, or 'human-hair-roof' for example )
In that price range, they should be able to find a wide selection of used Camrys, Solaras, etc.

save up just a little more and you can get a 3 series bmw used for year 2000-2003 with about 20K miles on it or something. look around for a great deal and jump on the opportunity when you can. i saw one bmw 03 323i for about 25,000 with low miles and warranty on it. i suggest you get the used car from another dealer than bmw cz you probably cant bargain much at bmw. if she wants two doors get the new scion tC.
Good ideas. Shes looking for Trunk space 4 doors and auto. maybe an SUV thats not chevy or Ford. and she either wants new or barly used with warrenties.
Are your parents racers/mechanics? haha. no really, some are. I will be a racer/mechanic parent if I do become a parent.
Ok, this IS the fastest car you can get for $27,000 cash.
Used 2001 MR2-S (if you can find one) + $7,000 for MWR Custom Turbo and internals.
If they are mechanics they can install the internals on the weekend, and then the Turbo the next weekend. They then have to spend several hundred dollars on dyno tuning.
My dad works for boeing and my moms a dr. They are the most simplist people in the world. My dad still has his 1991 Nissan Truck in perfect condition lol and my moms car has been fucken up since day one 1999 Oldsmobile, they keep goin back to the damn Olds dealor and its so easy to sell to these people they will just buy the damn car if the salesman says so. They almost bought a damn Brevada when she brought the car in for an oil change!
my parents bought a 2004 Lexus ES 330 for 31k, but it was brand new with 0 miles. there were some DEMO cars with around 5000 miles for 27k. i really like the ES 330
^^^yea, that's true...but i dunno if all Mazda 6's are like that...i'm just saying some sedans in his price range. I'd go with either an Accord or Camry--that way you can go new
I was suggesting Subaru Outback as a compromise between a car and an SUV. Most likely a new Outback or Legacy is too pricey, but a low-miles used one could do the trick. Presumably they want a 4-door?
