Ok so im moving into a dorm in 4 months. My car currently has the following mods
Veilside EC-1 front bumper
Veilside EC-1 rear bumper
Veilside EC-1 side skirts
Veilside EC-1 Fiberglass spoiler
FFGT carbon fiber hood
TRD Kazuma exhaust
Dc Sports header
S2000 antenna

Now im thinking of staying in NY and going to school or going to Florida and going to school. If i go to florida i was thinking it would be nice for my final mod before i leave to be the Kenwood DVD Receiver/Nav Pkg KVT-715DVD + KNA-DV4100...http://www.crutchfield.com/S-uLzW2xwJYGz/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=3&g=300&I=700P715DVDa=0&cc=01&avf=N&search= . would help me navigate more. However i need an Intake and to drop my car too. also if i spend that much i won't have money for another few months to replace speakers and add amps and subs. What you guys think? go for a non screen unit and just get good sound or go for the navigation and get good sound with it later?

I think unless mom and dad are loaded and gonna keep you well financed at college you should save your money so you don't have to eat ramen noodles every day at college. If you will be financed on the other hand it all depends on what kind of sound system you have in there now. I think even if I had stock speakers I'd get the nav system so I knew where I was going in a town I don't know much about.

thats true...ramen is good, but it can only last for so much... i dun think it is neccessary for any mods right now... en trust me, you are goin to spend 99% of your time in the dorms for now...
but its up to you... a nav system, springs, Intake, speakers, subs, and a new head unit wil be nice on your car...good luck...

you dont need to worry about beer money theres plenty of parties and thats what friends are for, a few bucks from everyone and you have plenty.
navigation system is cool but you'll probably meet many locals there anywhere and they can show you around without any problems, so you can invest in making your ride better, because you're going to need a ride if you don't want to spend 99% of your time in your dorm room, bored to death.

Youll find real fast that money is better spent to drink and go out that to spend on cars when youre in college.

Why waste your money on beer if you just drink it its not worth it at least with your car its there always and you can use it over and over or w/e plus you always get free beer anyways esp. at the parties spineyes

save your money for unforeseen expenses.

College isn't cheap. A sudden $500 charge isn't unheard of.
