Help, I want to remove the dealer sticker on my car, they don't pay me to advertise, nor do I want to if they did. How can I safely remove this, heat gun?

I don't want to destroy my paint, so I thought I would ask first.

im pretty sure people use a blow dryer or heat gun, just enough to heat the glue material and get it loose, then you just pull it on off., but just wait till other members tell ya for sure.

just heat it up and use a credit card covered in a papertowel to pry it off works like a charm

use a blow dryer, its more safer IMO. then peel and rub it off.

if you do use a credit card to pry it off be sure to have it wrapped in a paper towel, you might scratch your car

is it painted on cus thats what i thought if not then yeah you a heat gun or blow dyer

looks like a decal to me... this is quoted from signnetwork.com...

exacto knife wow guess I would have to be ultra careful if I use a knife.

just be careful. celicas are skiddish around knives.

Just peel it off man... I did mine on a hot day and the decals came off smooth as butter!

just get a blow dryer and some goof off or something like to rub off the sticker stuff residue. I just debadged my car and it came out great. You won't hurt the paint bro, while your at you might as well take off the toyota tag. It will look better with just the GTS logo! Again use a blow dryer, heat it up and just rub it off with your fingers. If you want to remove he toyota logo same thing but use dental floss to remove the emblem. After you remove either/or decal/emblem wax that same spot and your done

took me about 45 mins to remove my toyota emblem and the GTS emblem

that's a lot of time. i took mine off in 10. though i only had to take of the toyota one since someone stole my gt badge.

it took me 45 mins because i wanted to do it right it looks hella clean. Waxed it and buffed it out

props for 45 min, I would take just as long if needed, do it right or not at all, is what I say. That is why I love this forum. Nothing better out here period.


Also the Toy logo looks like it's down from where it should be, so maybe I will take it off, damn dealer. Why the hell can't they just leave the cars alone. It's bad enough they had to touch it.

Thanks guys for all the help, not sure I'm going to use goof-off, that stuff is wicked on paint. Any other ideas to remove the residue of the adhesive.

here bro i actually went to my garage got this out for ya i suggest this stuff! It works great bro! and it smells like oranges Does the job though! You can pick it up @ AutoZone think its like 3 or 4 bucks! cheap but it works!

Use goo gone, spray on the sticker, wait couple minutes, and use nail to tear it carefully. It should've work!

the "davis" part doesn't look like it can be peeled off at a single time =\ it looks like its a bunch of small stickers.

or you can use gugone, get it from micheal for 4 dollars or simply jack it, they dont have cameras (my micheals done)good luck

I would be careful with papertowel...papertowels scratch paint, I know.

How about a 100% cotton tee shirt? I use that on my Guitars, it seems to have the same paint as a car.

I would rather use a cotton tee shirt than scrappy-scratchy papertowel.

like everybody else said, use a hair dryer, then slowly peel it off. and use "goo gone" to clean up the sticky glue, then wash your car. it's all done...

just heat it up and peel it off.

dont use a heat gun... it'll fuck up ur paint

go to your local dealer and ask them to remove it, tell them your orginal dealer is 400 miles away, they might understand... just dont pay for it

The local dealer I choose id Bobby Rahal and they are already taken care of the "we owe you" I got when I paid the car from the other dealer. The damn sales guy didn't no anything about this car, hell he couldn't even drive it, and almost didn't fit in it. When I hit 110, he about lost it. I go in for a free deluxe detailing in Nov, had to wait for the paint to dry. They say they will be able to get every scratch and mark out on her. I wonder if that is true.

They already painted the font bumper as I found to large marks, seem someone ran it up on a curb. Dumb ass, test drivers, I always park a least a foot away from a curb.

So lets see it's brand new and it got painted already lmao. Cost the dealer big bucks not me.

I left mine in the Arizona sun for 15 minutes.

Came back and scratched it off with my fingernail. It came off like cheap electrical tape...had the same consistency too. Cheap dealers

Just put a hair dryer to it and then scratch it off with something that will not scratch your paint...if you haven't cut your fingernails lately then use them if you like they work great.

I took a blow dryer and heated the stivker up for about 10 min and used dental floss to get it off. The sticky stuff left over i used goo gone. Please do not use an exacto!!!!

Heated with a blow dryer, Removed with my fingernail, poor Davis didn't make it

Cleaned with 100% cotton tee and s&w.

Even saved a few why, not sure yet

oh and this is my first MOD

i shaved my dads camry emplems completely off in like 3 mins.. no more than that... clean no fuss no muss

lol when I did this it ended up in about 30 pieces on the ground...

The Word Davis was 31 letters alone, then add the 27 thats I saved to plastic thats a total of 58 letters.
