Lol, in the mountains. Driving around in the dark, around 10ish. Coming around a curve when i noticed another car hugging the middle of the "road"(I saw this because it was pretty much a dirt path). In the name of politeness, i decided to slow down. The moment I tapped my brakes, i lost control, eventually gaining it back, but running outta room into some trees. Only damage to the three passengers was to me, I slightly sprained my wrist and I cut my nose on the broken glass. In your cars, you'll notice how the rear view mirror is attached to the windshield...Mine's not...they found it thrown outta the trunk about 40 feet.

All I can say is FUCK Will INS cover ya?

Well, this happened over labor day wknd. Just never got a hcance to get pics taken. I'm still awaiting my pending court date in november. Since I'm pretty sure they'll take it as a true accident, I probably WON'T lose my license and get bumped offa insurance. But it'll be hella high, and fuckin awful. Now about a car...I'm considering looking for a Subaru Impreza 2.5RS, or a WRX...WRX's are harder to find in a better price range. Somewhere around 10-12grand. No coupes, sedans.

Airbags definetely DID NOT deploy. I found that disturbing. But what is the speed at which they do cause them to deploy? I was going around 30 mph.

What's your take?? You think it's totalled?? I sure as hell do. With this damn court date still coming up, I'll find out exactly will happen. If I keep my license and insurance doesn't boot me, I'll probably be looking for a subaru.

^^ They probably should've deployed...I believe the cutoff is 25 or 20 MPH, but correct me if I'm wrong. Also from the pictures I can't tell exactly what hit first but you may have hit something on your left front fender first and then smashed the tree. It's possible this slowed you down or the car detected the first impact and decided not to deploy the airbag since your body wouldn't be positioned correctly.

That's a lot of damage for 30 MPH. Heck the headlights are GONE That must've been a helluva tree. Glad to see you got out of it alright. I guess it's comforting to know that the Celica would give its life for me...I just hope it doesn't come to that.

I hit dead center. If you look at the license plate, it's bent in a perfect curve. Look at the radiator, it's planted straight in the middle.

i belive insuance takes your car after a wreck. thats y when people get in wrecks they only sell their mods.

with that damage I suprised that every bag didn't go off I thought my manual on my GTS said they were set for 15mph. Glad you walked away that's the important part car's can be fixed or replaced people can't.

yea i bougth my gts wrecked and it was not half as bad as that and the air bags were gone and the seatbelts jam up to so i had to replace that

oh maybe you can sel me ur module but that depends if you have side air bags because they are different

Oh yeah, a shitload of mud. Look at the tires. I was plannign on having the car detailed the next day after I came down. It was raining and snowing that weekend. It's colorado weather.
