today, i went to Champion Toyota here in Austin to get an oil change. not to say that it took them 2 hours to do an oil change, they also scratched up my sideskirts.

when the guy was about to put my car on the lift, he couldnt put the lift things under my car, so he just forced to do it. so i asked him "what the fuck were you doing?" and he answered "your car is too low!" wtf
he even said to me "you can always repaint your sideskirts."

so i cussed at the manager, and told him to tell the guy to fix the scratches, at least make them not so visible.

my car is not THAT LOW. the drop is only about 1'25.

anyway, you guys with a lowered car, have you ever been in the same situation before? how you avoid it again? any suggestions guys?

Champion Toyota in Austin sucks so bad!

the manager decided to have the guy fixed the scratches, so they are not visible now.

but it still hurts me when i think of it.

GUYS who live in Austin, DO NOT GO TO CHAMPION TOYOTA. 2 HOURS to do an oil job? wtf.

from now on, i am gonna do the oil change myself. cant trust anyone nowadays.

first off
they do make extensions to use for this type of situation...my celica has been on lifts and i had veilside side skirts which makes the frame and body quite a distance apart
but, i see he meant when he put it under your car from the ground...the lifts lay pretty flat, so idk wtf he was talkin bout...1.25 is not big at all when i had a 1 inch drop..
second, thats bs if he says "oh you can get it repainted"...does he know what that costs? i guess not, what an ass.

Me too. I found my first honest guy. I went to Toyota parts department to look at TRD equipment. The guy tells me, "Don't buy here, they're way cheaper on the internet." I told him about the "Stealership" joke and he chuckled a bit.

BTW, the TRD ground wire kits are fake. This I have confirmed! I guess somebody else had called the dealership asking about the same thing. The ones on ebay are just emblems thrown onto stuff. Look for the words: Toyota Motorsports for the reason stuff. thumbsup This, I'm sure, is already common information, but if you didn't know, you do now.

that sucks, it was probably just that the guy was being lazy or something. mines dropped with the sportlines, about two inches all-around, and longo toyota didn't complain or anything when they changed the oil. they did the other routine stuff like rotate tires too.

Change you own oil. thumbsup

It takes 30 minutes and a few bucks for new oil. You also can do it whenever you want to and you don't have to worry about someone else breaking your nice car.

if i didnt go to watch the guy working on my car, he wouldnt say anything about my car being too low to me. i caught him doing something he shouldnt do to my car. of course Toyota wouldnt complain if they did something wrong.

so watch when they work on your car next time!

the scratches were under the sideskirts.

I always tell them when I make the appointment that the car is lowered, and won't go up on their ramps. And I tell them when I deliver the keys. I leave a post-it note on my dash stating that the car is lowered and won't go up on their ramps. I've even gone so far as to demand to talk to the guy who's going to work on the car before he gets the keys, and I've gone with him inside the garage to see how he treats my car.

If you really love your car, you don't let some a-hole manager who says "no, you can't" stop you. You either force your opinion through, or go some place else with your car.

And if some butt-munch scratches your car, you demand they fix it.
