Gas did a Turbo install on my GT.00'

Gas, thanks for all the effort and extra service.

I Especially want to thank IMMO. The no.1 Celica lover in Holland and Bing the guy with the most powerfull Celica in Holland.
Car runs fine, lots of power, but I need bigger injectors.

Anyone who can get me GTS Injectors ?
Please let me know.

Cool. Now just wait for the PROBLEMS to start. They're inevitable when you turbocharge a normally aspirated engine. Get ready to spend some big money on uprating and repairing the engine or buying a new car!

Good luck though thumbsup

Well, offcourse you will be stressing the engine more. But running 6 psi is safe, even the Supercharger by TRD runs 6 psi. And you don't actually 'boost' that much. When driving normal you actually use the turbo to compensate for the vacuum the engine makes when sucking up air. it gives as much air as the engine needs.

Compare it to breathing through a straw or using scuba-gear.

Really boosting stresses the engine more but not to the point where stuff will break. Offcourse there are no guarantees smile

Yeah i love it. No problems whatsoever. Runs perfectly. I'm running 6 psi right now. I have an exedy ceremetallic 3-puck clutch. Works great. Very driveable yet holds the power good.

Bigger injectors are to supply more fuel. His current injectors are probably maxed out and aren't able to supply enough fuel.

nevermind they dont carry GT injectors however it might not be a bad idea to give them a call and ask if they can get them.

There is no difference in GT or GTS injectors as far as I know.
The GTS injectors fit in the GT...
Then any injector that fits the GTS should fit the GT in my opinion.

Bigger injectors are needed simply because of this:
You put more air in the engine, therefore you need more fuel. The stock GT injectors are too small.
pushing it and keep using them will make the car run too lean (will give more power) and the engine will run too hot and no lubrication from the fuel which will cause internals to break..

No, its not a pic of the final install.
This was the first day we worked on it.
I left my cam in the car and the car was on the bridge. So couldn't make as many pics as I wanted to.

I'll make some pics and post them on the forum

what are you talking about all engines are N/A till you turbo charge them, the SRT $ and WRX are all 4cyl engines that were turbocharged . if done right you will have no problem, just dont overboost it

i think he means that enigines that are desined to be n/a will take more stress then a engine that from the factoy is turboed

great example the gts throw 14 pounds of boost on that and you'l blow the pistons out the top.. unlike a srt

since from the begining, there are no blowed engines on any of our st1 kits. And there are also couple of c2 and other kits running in different countries.

cant compare a turbocharged factory car with a non turbo, the wrx has been tuned by its creator and the starting compression is less than that of the celica , thats where you run into problems. engine compression.
