My next performance mod will hopefully be MWR cams...

MonkeyWrenchRacing has recently been testing them on a GT. If they do actually begin sales of this product, it's great news for n/a GT drivers - thumbsup

... after the regular bolt-ons, there's not much else to do performance-wise. These new cams would be just the answer. I believe Catcams already fabricates a set, however I'm interested to see how the MWR cams perform. More options never hurt anyone - happywink

just in time. I bought a GT engine that I'm building up. That's all I need. In about 6-7 months my dad and myself are going to buy all the stuff from MWR avaliable for the GT. Along with the C2 turbo, I should be pushing around 350+ to the wheels. Gonna be expensive! Oh well.

yeah n/a is naturally aspirated which means it "breaths" at just the normal atomospheric pressure. F/I is forced induction where air is forced into the engine and the pressure is raised inside the cylenders

money is not really a concern... I'd simply like to have the best performing product available - hopefully MWR will deliver - wink

I also heard that Crower has cams out for the 1zz? The shop that is building my engines says that Crower might be working on cams for our car and might have them out soon... Is this true? confused

I can guarantee they won't cost that much. Probably more like six or seven hundred bucks for both.

They're cam shafts, not cam gears. You won't need adjustable gears if they do a good job with the cam profiles.

the cat cams cams are $860 from JRPonline.com...they just have not been proven yet...MWR has the prototype done, and are getting ready to test them...once the tests and dynos have been done, you will see them on the website for sale...I'm imagining somewhere in the $450 - $500 range
