Celica Forums General Discussion General Anyone Agree?

ahh, the celica is hands down the best looking car in its class...actually, it even surpasses its class. You can put a nice clean celica next to ANY g35 or Audi TT..or whatever "luxery" sports car you want..and i would still think the celica is better...(but this is with at least a body kit and a clean exterior/interior combo"...bone dry ones are ehhh imo... if i never saw a celica b4..and i didnt know its engine specs ..or what brand it was..and you showed me that and asked me if i would pick the celica or a g35 coupe..or wrx...or skyline...etc etc..i would pick the celica...if the celica had the balls to back up its looks...forget about it...if we went back in time( like 1990) ..and showed someone a 7th gen celica...im sure they would think its like the new exotic car from porsche..ferrari...lambo, etc etc. Its funny how our tastes change though. 6 years ago when i saw pics for the upcoming g35 coupe..along with some other "project cars"..i was like damnnn..look at the headlight style..look at its round oval shape..it looks soo futuristic..BUTT..now i see them on the road all the time and im like ehh..i dont like it that much. Or when the new civics came out..every other car company started busting out that OVAL Space style shape..and i thought it looked so weird...now im used to it and its nothing special at all.

Does anyone here argee with me??or is there another car that youve seen YEARS ago before its production and thought "wow it looks so weird and futuristic", but after having all the 2000+ cars change so much , now your just used to this style that you once thought was soo kool and modern looking?

i totally agree. the celica will be the shit for years to come. even when you see a totaly stock celi comin down the road, it makes you wanna look. its so low and aggressive looking. i would put it against any car out there

yes the celica is a absolutely great looking car and performer but every good thing must come to an end.

true..besides..the 7th gen was the PEAK of greatness in the celicas history... if they tried to top it with an 8th gen..it would be too much i think. This car has a nice style to it where it hink it will look niec even in 5 years. After that..who knows though..like i stated above..its funny how the tastes change..for an example...my freind was driving on old school beamer..like 90..and i cracked a joke about it..and he was like..if this was 1990..you would be SWEATING MY ASS!..and you know what..that goes to show us..because you know what...if I did see his car 14 years ago...im sure i would have ben in LOVE with it..loll you know what i mean? thats what i was talking about on te above post when i said how some cars when they were in pre production looked soooo amazing..now after 5 years of them being out...its kinda like..whatever...(example: Audi TT)

the celi is definantly a nice all around car.. looks, hauls, decent speed ..perfect daily driver

Where else are you going to find a car that looks this good that gets 30+ MPG. Or that can haul a ton of stuff and look good doing it.

Or my fav, driving down the road the other day and this girl looks at my car so hard she almost hit someone in the rear. I rolled my window down and said watch out!!! or she would have plowed this SUV with her car. It's like last year I was walking on the beech with my girl and I looked so hard at this 10+ and fell into a sand hole.

I agree, especially in the same price range as a GT; all you get is garbage everywhere else for the same money.

Yeah, I agree that the Celica looks really really nice.

Problem is, it doesn't look that nice down at the drag strip. , neither to anything but the seventh gen celi.

The Celica's looks won't ever go out of style Even when mine was stock it got all kinds of stares. I'm actually kind of glad to see that it will become a rare find. It feels good to be a part of such a small and sexy niche.

and your car is very sexy...i personally would LOVE it if your rear bumper was longer..so it stretched the car out long so it matches the front..i told ya trojan..i love your ride...sooooo niceeeeeee...with a few mor extras...4gz into it..your car will DOMINATE..at shows.

^ actually, it probably already does...its super sexy..its oober sexy..and to make things better...lately ive noticed that 75% of the cars at shows are Borderline stock..which makes us look even better

i'm a big fan of teamelite's ride...the custom paint job is insane..i caught it outside somewhere in queens one night and i was like..damnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, i wasnt sure how i felt about the skulls..but in person..its VERY impressive.

It is a little wider in the rear, actually. I plan to get a Bomex front for a smoother match

Your car looks great. I love the way you did the wind splitter on the front bumper and I like the dash. Never seen it done with the deck molded above the screen before. Looks good.
Now where were you when everybody was busting my balls about spending $60,000 on my Celica. I'm sure you could have helped me argue the fact that the Celica would be the greatest show car to ever enter a show, with enough money into it.
