Well actually your supposed to change plugs almost as frequent as oil, like once every two to three oil changes, which is roughly once/twice a year, to make sure your plugs are at optimum level. The iridium plugs are stronger and more expensive so I think maybe once a year is good, 60k miles is way too long.
As for plugs, NGK and Denso are the prefered iridium plugs, The NGK are a bit cheaper, but if you really have money to spend you can get some Blitz, HKS, or Greddy iridium plugs but they are really, really expensive, and since they are manufactured by NGK and Denso anyway i dont think it really matters unless you have a full blown race engine.
The plugs aren't gonna make a huge difference in hp, but its better then nothing.

^^ This is not correct, every two or three oil changes is about only 9,000 miles considering you change your oil every 3,000 miles. Spark plugs usually last around 30,000 miles or more, so unless you know theres a problem, you really don't need to change them that often, or you are just wasting your money.

Also if you use Platinum Tipped Plugs, they last longer than the regular kind. Somtimes up to 100,000 miles.

And about which plugs will give the most horsepower? Just go to the dealer and buy whatever the car was first equipped with.

A spark plug isnt going to give you anymore horsepower.

from my understanding, spark plugs doesn't really gain any hp, instead it can restore some lost power due to the aging of the car...

The Denso Iridium tips that come stock are the best you can get for our engine.

If you go to a Toyota dealership, they will tell you that you don't need to change out the Iridium plugs until around 90k miles...

...that being said, I changed it out at 60k.

ye... and i believe TRD Japan Iridium plugs are from DENSO also.

(strickly for GTS users only. if you have a GT and you do this, you will loose HP and ruin ur engine.)if you rev ur engine like crazy everyday, redline it everyday. get a new set of plug that is one class colder than ur stock ones. from IK20-IK22 or IK22-IK24(DENSO) i forgot what our stock plugs come with.

I'm not for sure but I think the Celicas come stock with 100,000 mile spark plugs. I have about 50k Miles on mine and the plugs look only about half way worn down.

^^^celi comes stock with denso iridium...

change them when you need, dont change them as they are a mod. cos wut you will do is just swap out a totally same spark plug...with the old one performs just as good as the new one...
