Celica Forums General Discussion General Celica still has the same affect on me as it did back in 2000

Even though I no longer drive a Celica. I must say, I still have the same admiration for it when it first came out in summer of 1999. Everytime I see one on the road, I can't help but notice and admire the design of the car. IMO, the design still holds up even 5 years after its release. Today I went back to my roots and got to work on one. It felt good siiting in the driver's seat, and having 2 seats in back! If I were to do it all over again and choose between the tC and Celica, I'd pick the Celica, ofcourse .

EDIT: Most ppl would feel like you if they had ur celica!! Still one of the cleanest looking ones EVER.

you should of kept ur car man! i loved it. we miss you being around meets with your celi.

I would have kept it if I could, but it wouldn't be logical for me to have 2 cars at this time.

I love the Celica. If I'd gotten a stick, I probably wouldn't be selling my car right now. Still, I've realized that I'm just a convertible person.

^^^ once you have a convertible, you'll never go back. at least that's how most ppl i've met who had a convertible feel, including me.

The Celica is damn sexy. But I think the 93-95 RX7s' design was also ahead of it's time.

I agree with sultan. I didn't like celicas at first either that was until i went shopping and ended up taking one home.

first time i saw it, i mistook it the new eclipse for the celica, and fell in love with what i thought was the new eclipse but in reality was the celica.

was that easy to understand?

Same like Sultan. When it first came out, I hated the Celica. A good friend of mine was telling me to get a Celica as my first car because I was car shopping at the time. I told him that I was thinking of getting a GSR instead. But what do you know, as I was comparing the Celica, Integra, and Civic, I ended up with a Celica. When I had to give the car away, there was something missing when I was driving that POS Focus. After selling the Focus, I could have gotten a totally different car at around the 11K price range, but I had to come back to a Celica and finish the run

O yeah, today, as I was leaving work. I was at a stop light, and there was this Eclipse rolling in front of me going the other direction and the girl in the passenger side was straight drooling over the Celica. Nice!

I feel the same way, i can't walk away from it without looking back a couple times when i park somewhere.

i also do a double-take when ever i walk away from my celica.


Yeah, BAT, the celica's headlights have the best design out of any out. they're ahead of the game

Thats exactly what happened to me ^^^. I thought it was a
Mitsu.

I still walk outside and stare at my car for half an hour a day. When ppl in Celicas drive by, I wave at them. I don't know the ppl, but they drive a Celica, so they know the passion of driving a great car! Its like family.

Yeah, the first time I saw the car I knew I was buying one.

And even though I've had two 7th gens, I still LOVE getting in my car and driving it, I look forward to it a lot.

it was love at first site when i stepped out of that japanese restaurant and saw it parked right outside. i pointed and said to my mom "mine!"

i have loved the celica since the first time i saw the commericals!

i first saw the 7th gen when i looked out the window at work and saw a spec blue action package gt sittin there. i was like what the fuck is that!! my buddy told me and as luck would have it, i totaled my old saturn sc2 a couple weeks later and headed straight for the yota dealership. ive been forever changed since.

the celica is truly a work of art

first time i saw a celica, it was a 6th gen spankin all the domestics on a track out in the middle of nowhere. BOV screaming. Then i saw a 7th gen bone stock, and had to have one.

I want a Celi again.
