ok so i am lookin into gettin a turbo for my car and i was wondering if anyone could tell me if i need to upgrade my clutch when i do put it on. most people have said yes but they were talkin about manual trannys, i have an auto. i am lookin to run around 7psi for daily driving and a little higher for when i bring my car to the track. lookin at the stafford kit btw and i have a GTS. any help would be appreciated and no flaming for the auto tranny.

I mean this nicely but make sure you research all of this. Aftermarket turbos for our car are not the best thing in the world reliability wise so make sure you read up. A beater car just in case something does go wrong would also be a smart thing to have. Good luck with the turbo though. Tell us how it goes because I too have a slow auto and it sure needs something

well i welcome the comments negative or positive, i am still pretty far off from buying the actual kit, but i am going to make sure i have all the engine management electronics i need like turbo timers and boost controllers and i am making sure it gets installed by the best. i am also talking to people about it since its not something most people do to autos. i will make sure that it will be safe for my car before i even buy anything.

i have an auto gts and i have heard that xs engineering is a complete kit runs on stock engine

actually autos have clutches and bands to control the planetary gears to make the shift happen. They are not the same clutch as in a standard, but nonetheless a clutch, meeting the definition of a clutch and not what we are used to given the dominance on this site of standard transmission vehicles.
