Well, you don't need a turbo to have one, but you do need a turbo for it to work. It releases excess pressure from the turbo in the intake system when you let off the gas. Regular engines don't have any pressure (they actually create a vacuum), so it would just sit there and nothing you could do except get a turbo or SC would allow it to open.

well... you can hook up the air-tank to the BOV and then hook them up to ur throttle, so everytime you let go of the throttle the air-tank force the air into the BOV and the BOV will shoot.

have you ever heard just a BOV it is nothing compared to having a fool turbo hearing the turbo spool than the bov...you need the fool effect...sorry bro...it is plain rice to have the BOV sound...also if others hear it than want to race and smoke u...it looks pretty bad on ur part in my opinion.either tubo or no turbo.

BOV's will work without a turbo.
Just make the noise with your mouth, and it will make your car feel faster.

Here's an idea: You can get that fake thing that makes that bov sound, then put a gt badge on your car. It will be like a turbocharged gt, and it will have the power of the gts. Obviously, I'm kidding, but I'm sure somebody will try it.
