I can now say without a doubt that the TPR exhaust will be the very best looking exhaust ever made for the 7th Gen Celica!!! Check out the immaculate polishing job (no, that's not chrome plating ), and the flawless madrel bends in the pics below! For all of you TPR CAI, 4-2-1 race header, and midpipe fans, this is the same polishing job that will be applied to all of those parts as well! Thanks to Red01GTS from New Celica.org for the pics!

Holy crap. The header would blend in better with the rest of the engine components if it were powdercoated Kawasaki green. It will stand out more than a turbo would. That's more than a little bit over the top for pipes that you will see 1 time, it's a freaking mirror finish. The bends look nice. I will assume that it's possible to order things like the header sans the mirror finish, some of us have to deal with police enforcement of mods in our great big west coast haven. Flat black powdercoat beckons for me.

Actually, the header will probably be ceramic coated in a chrome finish standard, but I'm sure they can get you black ceramic coating, too. I'll probably be going the same route, trying to make everything look as OEM as possible so I don't get hassled any more than I deserve. Imagine if you were building a show car, though! Toss a few mirrors under the car and have the judges drooling/going blind!

The TPR exhaust is $450 and the CAI is $180 (both before shipping). They fit both GT and GTS, manual and auto. The upcoming TPR 4-2-1 race header is GTS only, but a GT one may come next year depending on the interest. Price is unknown at the moment on the GTS header, but once it's released, expect the GT header to cost the same.

I plan on getting an XS complete turbo kit but I dont know if the TPR parts will help or hurt the performance of the turbo. I own a GTS and I am planning on gettting TPR headers, intake, and exhaust (I belive in you guys) as my VERY first mods to my baby when I get the money. After that, I will get my body kit then maybe the turbo will come next.

any plans on a TPR website soon, to make ordering easier? would also consolidate product info. just a suggestion though. keep up the fantastic work The site will be up soon, but it won't help ordering just yet. Right now, parts can only be made in groups, meaning TPR can't afford to build a supply of parts and hope they sell. TPR is a brand new company, remember, so it's barely making any profits at the moment (still paying off I/E prototyping, and using whatever leftover profits there are for prototyping new parts). All TPR sales for the time being will be done in Group Buys at New Celica.org. I plan on getting an XS complete turbo kit but I dont know if the TPR parts will help or hurt the performance of the turbo. After that, I will get my body kit then maybe the turbo will come next. No Celica exhaust, header, or intake will work with a turbo. You'll need all custom parts. The biggest piping used in the Celica NA aftermarket is 2.5", which would be restritcive on a turbo. 3" is optimum. You might be able to PM Easy_C and see if TPR can build you a custom turbo-back exhaust if you want.

hows the sound quality compared to the TRD exhaust? which ones louder? and how do they compare performance wise? its time for me to get a new exhaust and TPR and TRD are my choices.

Ill keep that in mind. I wont be doing that for some time so it will give yal some time to get off the ground. That would be great to get TPR parts for a turbo. Maybe I should hold off on the performance parts til I get the money to buy the turbo kit and the TPR parts at one time. Well, that will cost me about 7-8 grand, but it will be worth it if I get great gains.

hows the sound quality compared to the TRD exhaust? which ones louder? and how do they compare performance wise? its time for me to get a new exhaust and TPR and TRD are my choices. Suprisingly, the TPR and TRD exhausts sound almost the same. About the same loudness level, too. TPR is slightly deeper, though. Performance is a completely different story, as TPR beats TRD by 2-4hp up top (even more below peak), and when both exhausts have a CAI added to them, TPR destroys TRD. Here are a couple dynos: TPR vs stock:TRD vs stock:TPR (blue) vs TRD (red), both have TPR CAI:Are the intakes ready to be ordered now? The Gen 2 will be a month or so (waiting for the casting shop to get to the TPR MAFS secion), but the Gen 1.5 are ready to be produced. The only difference is the MAFS section. On the new Gen 2, the entire section including the MAFS mount, MAFS fins, and piping, is cast out of stainless steel. On the Gen 1.5, the stainless steel MAFS mount and fins are welded onto a piece of stainless steel piping using a jig for consistency. Everything else (full stainless steel mandrel bent piping, adjustable mounting bracket, and high flow K&N filter) are exactly the same as Gen 2, including performance. The main difference betweeen them is that it's much easier and cleaner looking to have the parts cast (Gen 2)instead of welding them by hand (Gen 1 and 1.5). Once the casting shop catches up, CAIs will be made extremely fast, and the only wait will be for the group buy to fill up. im drooling over that pic right now. I plan on ordering the exhaust and the intake. can you give me shipping cost for the exhaust and the the intake seperate to 65604? also is the 1st exhaust GB still goin on? You'll have to PM Easy_C for shipping info. He's the one who sells everything. The first TPR exhaust GB has been closed for a while now, just waiting for the pieces in the pic above to be assembled, packaged, and shipped. The second GB had started a while ago, but I think Easy_C wants to make sure the first GB participants get their exhausts first before he concludes the second GB.

i don't see a muffler in those pics...obviously i'm not certain about this..but i would assume the gains over trd by tpr are directly related to this?

No, it's just that the muffler already came polished. There aren't any flanges, hangers, or welds in the pics either, but I can assure you they come with the exhaust as well.

Here are a couple pics of the unpolished prototype with the muffler and piping in place (and a different tip):

that does make more sense now definately going to take a look at this when it's time to buy an exhaust (i just had to back out of buying a trd ext. exhaust because of my recently blown engine). might be a blessing in disguise in a small way (lol obviously i would still like to have my engine healthy). it'll also give me more time to take a look at some more dynos

impressive dyno numbers... after the GT header and gen2 intakes come out, paired with your new exhaust, I'd be curious to see how much that combo would gain over mine (Hotshot header/AEM gen2 cai/TRD exhaust) ... if it's significant, I'll be swapping them all out for TPR products -

I think the GBs will be mainly on New Celica.org, but you can always PM Easy_C about getting in on it if you don't want to register over there. The first GB over there is already 13 pages long, so it would get kinda confusing running two 10+ page GBs at the same time (as if just one isn't confusing enough )

It would be great if there was some kind of package deal on an intake, an exhaust, and a header in the future. I can't wait to by mine if a few months.

No pics of the exhausts yet, since nobody has received theirs yet. The tip should be around 3.75" - 4", about the same size as TRD, if not a bit smaller.

Unknown at the moment, but TPR will definitely try once they get their hands on an 03+ header. It might cost more than the regular header, though, due to the work involved in recreating the air injection system.

do the gen 1.5 intakes look much different? other than the mafs? And do those cost the 180 like the gen 2's? If i can get a gen 1.5 right now then i would love to order one.
and does TPR plan on making pipes for the entire exhaust or just leave it axel back?

No, there is no real external visual difference between the two, and both gens cost the same. PM Easy_C if you want to order one. TPR will be coming out with a 4-2-1 race header for the GTS (much more advanced than TRD/Trial/DC), and have a matching 2.5" high flow midpipe that can bolt up to the header and exhaust.

no its not its fully withing sound limits. Also we are aiming to hit 185-190 whp with I/H/E off a 158 whp stock base. I think with a full 4-2-1 race header it should be cake. Might even be able to hit 200-205 with ecu tuning. We got a lot of shit in the works peoples, so stay tuned -Chris
TPR Intake! - Injens high end with AEM's low end and NO BOGGING! TPR EXHAUST! - Exhaust made 10.5 whp peak and 32 whp at 6300 on my car!!!
