I'm thinking of painting the inside of a stock set of 04 tail lights black.(becuase I really like the style of the 04 tails but not the shinny red look. And I don't like any of the aftermarket tails for the Celica) Any one have any tips or suggestions?

i think this is one area where i would refer you to Bat's overlays as opposed to painting... there aren't any smoke or transparent black paints that you can use (for a reasonable price) that will even hold up to the heat of the tail-light bulbs.
