what motor can I drop in my 91 st that will make it a screaming bullet??

here a few choses

1.3sgte
2.4age 20v slvertop

anyother suggestion??

3sgte isn't an engine you could just "drop" in your st. St's have different mounting locations for the engine so you would have to get motor mounts from a GT or GTS and install them in the right locations for any S series engines to go into a ST. The 4AGE 20v silvertop is your best bet besides a 4AGZE or a 4AGE blacktop.

is the silvertop faster than a 3sgte?

silvertop is 160hp
3sgte is 225hp

if you get a new 3s the you can get 250 HP

I can make a 3sgte fit in my ST

the 3s that wyte 91 fury gts is talking about has 245hp. There's the 3rd gen 3sgtes which come from ST205s. Look for jdm motor importers. Keep in mind that they won't pass smog.

i dont have to worry about smog, i live in minnesota LOL

another thing if ur gonna swap a 3sgte...not only do you have to change the mounts...but you need a new tranny...lol...if you keep ur st tranny u'll blow it...it can't handle the power...I was gonna do a 3sgte swap in my 90 gts, but im sellin her now...would have costs me 4k for the engine with 20k miles on it, tranny, and install

4K for the front clip, install, and tranny is not a bad deal at all...
