Is it ok to paint the brake clapiars. Ive heard that doin this will cause the brakes to hold in more heat and could cause freeze ups. We painted the brakes on my dads RV to help with rust and just last trip the front left brake froze and we had to get a new drum. Dont know if the paint helped caused it but I want to paint my brakes and I dont know if I should.

It should be fine, especially on the drums.

With rotors, most of the heat is dissipated through the rotors, not the calipers.
