My amp has a light on that says "low impedence" along with the power light. My crossover power is on, and all the connections seem to be fine. I dont have any idea what this could mean, if it helps, i have 2 4 ohm subwoofers that i'm trying to power...i have powered this set up about 4 months ago, before i got my new sub.

Well low impedence is complaining about the OHM of the subs. You say you have 2 4ohm subs. How do you have them wired?? 1 sub to each channel or both subs wired together(parallel) and then bridged the amp?? Then you need to verify what ohm your amp is stable to run at. If it's not 2 ohm stable and you have the subs bridged and paralleled, that's the prob. The amp isn't 2 ohm stable. You would have to connect each sub to it's own channel. What subs and amp is it, that would help me help you more...???

The amp is a PPI A600.2 and the subs are infinity kappa perfect 12.1's. i had the infinity's hitting, bought a new sub and had it bridged to that one sub. Now the toyota dealership scratched up my sub so i gotta wait on a new one, so in the mean time i was gonna hook up my old system. i disconnected the bridged wiring and hooked up the infinity's one sub per channel, like i had before. To me this is the exact same set up i had about 4 months ago; i have no idea what is causing the light.

Some amps can't handle really low impedance or they begin to shutdown. If your subs are wired in parallel, change it to series wiring for more resistance. If you don't know what you're doing, I would suggest taking it to a professional.

Make sure your amp can handle the impendence. Sounds like your wiring is wrong. Re-wire the subs like everyone stated. Your amp is not getting the proper ohm reading.

According to this the amp is 1ohm stable, so that is not your problem: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...bayphotohosting [ cgi.ebay.com] Its one of three things. 1) The wires to your subs are shorting out or wired incorrectly (most likely) 2) Your amp is toast 3) You have a blown subwoofer & the voice coil has a dead short. The best way to find the problem is to swap parts. Get a friends subs, see how they work. Hook your subs to your friends amp. And so on, till you find the problem. How you you like your Kappa Perfect 12's? I love mine. I run mine with a JBL BP600 amp.

I've hooked up my friend's sub to it, and it gives me the same light, so maybe a guy at toyota working on my car screwed with the wiring, i'll check it today. I love the infinity's...cleanest sound around

I love the infinity's...cleanest sound around I tell people, but they don't believe until they hear them for themselves. Its just fucking unreal how much clean, clear & crisp bass comes out of them. Almost zero cone noise. Then you hear a rockford sub & hear nothing but cone noise & you really see the difference. I love my infinity's!
