I got in a car accident last week and I'm thinking about putting a aftermarket kit to replace my current stock body kit. Any idea on how much the stock kit is? I need to compare prices with the Kaminari kit urethane?

dude, ur confused and confusing us. wut you mean by stock aftermarket bodykit? the stock is a bumper, thats the one that comes with the car stock. aftermarket is anything other than wut toyota makes. kaminari is an aftermarket a body kit is anything other than stock bumper. bigger, lower than stock. so wut do you want now? if you want stock bumper, keep an eye in the group buy section cz a lot of ppl get kits and sell their stock bumpers. or else just call ur local junkyard, they should be around $100.

perhaps I didn't make myself clear guys. This is the situation. I want to know the retail value for a Toyota stock bumper (front & back) and those black plastic sides that comes with the stock celica. The reason I want to know this is because my insurance is going cover the repair of my vehicle. If an after market body kit like the Kaminari is cheaper than the stock one than I'm going to try to get the Kaminari. I apologize for any confusion.

i think the stock parts are much cheaper. Im sure ppl here have the parts on the garage waiting to get rid of it. If youre lucky, you can get it painted too! I would say somewhere in the 250 shipped...i wouldnt pay more than that.

That is funnier than shit cus I am doing the same thing lol. I got into an accident and insurance is fixing it, so I am trying to see if an aftermarket kit is cheaper so maybe I can get Kaminari instead. I really want that kit or a replica atleast.

i'd drop by the toyota garage and get a price quote for those exact parts. of course, i'm sure toyota will have overpriced them.
in relation to aftermarket parts, the dealership quotes will probably be higher. i was checking out the "action package" kit and they were saying like $1700 plus paint & install. i'm sure you would be able to find any non-widebody for a lesser price than that. and i'm sure the insurance company would rather fork out less for non-oem parts...

^^^ e.degala has it correct. go to 3 Toyota dealers and ask them for a quote for the stock front/rear bumpers and the stock side skirts. Mind you, the TRD is expensive, just imagine how much the stock parts are gonna be worth. sure, you can buy it from other people on here who are selling their's for a cheaper price, but i can tell that you want that damn Kaminari kit so bad . so get off your ass and get quotes from Toyota and you will have your Kaminari kit paid for.

Thanx for the information guys. I will definately go to the Toyota dealers and get several quotes. Hey RaptorGTS, keep me informed on your insurance claim. I'm really eager to know the outcome of the whole thing.

^^^true, but if you want your insurance to replace it or consider buying an aftermarket body kit (which is cheaper and will save them hundreds) this is the best way to go.
