^^ I agree, get a kit, sf or c2gas,

but

if you really want to know, from the top of my head, id say, the turbo, intercooler, custom piping, intake filter, oil lines and fuel lines, piggyback ECU, or APEXI full replacement ECU, new upgraded fuel system, etc..

to boost high, new/stronger internals...lower compression,

^^^^ that should cover it, plus a boost controller, turbo timer, and all that stuff...just easier to go with the c2gas turbo...$3200

For a custom kit. Just go to a nearby Auto shop/Performence shop. Your gunna need custom piping and a lot of custom work.. Manifolds and so on. Dpends on how you put it together.

Im fabricating my own turbo kit for my GT, it can be done for a lot less than the kits, cause ive only spent around 900 bucks and I have: 14b turbo with internal wastegate and DSM o2 housing, DSM BOV, FMIC, AF ratio and boost gauges with pod, SF black box, manual boost controller, 450cc injectors, and some pipes. given that the custom bends will run me about 100 bucks and installation plus various oil lines another 500 and a new 3" catback round 350. And most importantly im looking for a manifold, most that i have found are running between 300-450. (C2 has told me that they would make a custom one with 14b flange for 450 and Hass auto could make a custom log mani for a little over 300) so if you think about it the C2 kit only comes with turbo, header, intercooler, piping, emanage, BOV, and oil lines. 3200 before installation. with my custom kit ill have an installed turbo with fuel system upgrade, gauges, and exhaust for less than 2500.

Given that im getting the hook up on a lot of rebuilt DSM stuff from my buddies that build up 1st gen eclipses. Im saying go for it man, custom kit all the way. And i would reccomend a 14b turbo cause it uses the same flanges as the big 16g so you can swap out when you want some more power.

^^^ he knows how to do it. When I got quoted on my custom setup they wanted 5k+ That included custom everything. And brand new everything. I dunno if you got the hook ups go for it. But for me IM gunna go with a Great C2Gas kit and build from there. Im using there kit as a setting stone. Its all what you want! Go for it!

Yeah dont get me wrong C2 is a great kit, the only reason im going custom is because ive got people hooking me up with parts and a great shop that I trust to do custom work. Plus im getting second hand rebuilt parts mostly. You can really F' up your engine using used turbos and parts, so you really have to be picky about what you buy. But like we said if you can get the hook up from someone you trust, then go for it, otherwise go with C2 or SF cause a turbo off ebay might cost you 100 bucks but will cost you thousands after it blows your engine.

Turbo-ing is not just the parts of the turbo-kit!

You will kill your clutch almost immediately. you may need a bigger fuel pump and bigger injectors (I know I did).
Think of gauges, syntethic oil etc etc..

I think my setup ran about 5500 euro, that is including clutch + lightweight fw + install costs..

Do not underestimate putting in a turbo...

btw, props on building it yourself... and good luck smile

Yeah im upgrading to 450cc, already running full synthetic, and have the boost and A/F ratio gauges sitting around. So You think Im gonna kill the clutch? I thought she could hold up?

Well, if you turbo it right... in an instant, without a doubt...
I had 50000km (s about 34000 miles) on my car/clutch and it was slipping right away.. 6th gear 2500 rpm and the clutch slipped..

Do the wise thing and replace your clutch. I had to drive my turbo very easy the first 8 weeks before clutch install (clutch took a while to arrive, then holidays)..

without internal work your looking at about 200-230 at the wheels, thats only if you upgrade exhaust, fuel system, have a good FMIC, and run about 7-8lbs

Yes..
6 psi is safe on stock internals.. 7-8 is possible but chance of breaking increase offcourse.
I might be doing a 6 psi dyno next week..

I have a C2 kit. Runs pretty good but needs more fuel pressure. So I bought a bigger Fuel-Pump and I am still looking for bigger injectors. Is it wise to fit a fuel-pressure regulator with the higer fuel-pressure?

Ok I know that the GT and the Corolla pretty much have the same engine im not really sure how much space differs in the engine bay between the two cars. I don't know too much about turbos and shit like that but i was wondering if a turboing kit for a corolla could be used for a GT and vise versa?
I'm asking because I was pointed to this website by a friend saying yo thats your engine. http://www.importperformanceparts.net/imports/turbospec_toyota.html
