I got a traffic ticket 78 in a 60 i usually do 80 or 85 but i saw the cop he was out of the car not looking but a minute later he was on my ass flashing his gay ass lights so i pull he gives me the ticket. i went to court today but got there to late it was in Cleveland and i was in Dayton, ohio. i was up there for hin nights on the 9th got the ticket the next morning. So i got there to late today , the receptionist said he couldn't do anything about but i could pay i next week. Is this true or am i screwed. Some lady there was paying her daughters ticket because she didn't come in and they got a letter in the mail stating she needed to pay the cost of the and court fee in full immediately. is that what will happen to me or are they just going to come to my house and the COPS thing? This is my first offense.

In California if you miss your court date you automatically default. Meaning the other party gets the settlement. So if I were in your position I'd say pay the fine right away since you missed the court date. If you knew you were going to be late they have extensions so that type of problem doesn't happen.
