Hi everyone,

I just took my new Celi on it's first long trip all the way from Bay area California to Oregon over 1,000 miles and it ran perfect the whole way over the summit and all. I love driving my car it was so comfortable and just cruised the whole way.

I now have about 3,200 miles on her and I was wondering when is the best time for an oil change? Now? What is the best oil I can use? Thanks for your help happywink

the best time for an oil change is every 3,000 miles. unless you use synthetic you can go 4,000. everyone has their opinions on synthetic, some like it some don't. it's really up to you.

i wouldn't do synthetic oil just yet, maybe after 10000miles. meanwhile, if i remember correctly, under the hood, there is a sticker recommending oil to be changed at every 3500 miles...

then oil is more expensive around here, cause mobile 1 synthetic is like 6.50 a quart.

When I bought my celi it had around 34k on it and before i broke it in any further i went to wal-mart and got full synthetic oil change. The only difference is that full synthetic has more lubricants. So if you drive your car hard then full synthetic might be the best choice.

A case of Mobile 1 is only about $23 at Costco + $5 for a Toyota filter.
