Hi all.

I have a brand new Celica purchased in Australia.

I am travelling to the USA and I plan to buy some accessories while there so I am trying to figure out what the equivalent US model is. In particular I need to match the engine, since I'm looking for a turbo kit.

For the record, I got these numbers from the delivery docket for my car :

Material code : 2823130R0FA20202
Katashiki : ZZT231R-BLFGFQ ----- Suffix R0
Engine No. : 2ZZ0143788
VIN No. : JTD DY38T1 00073971

I don't know for sure but I think my car is the equivalent of the US GTS.

Can anybody clarify this for me?

Additional info or photos on request 1

Thanks

Angus

Steering, AC lines, brake fluid reservoir and master cylinder are all on the wrong... er, opposite side of the engine bay on RHD Celicas. grin You also don't have a VSV for the charcoal canister up front (which is usually attached to an aftermarket intake with a thick, colored, silicone hose).

Yes, all Celicas in Australia have the VVTL-i engine (same as the American GTS). There are basically two versions, the SX and the ZR. Both have the same engine, and mechanicals except the ZR comes standard with sunroof, ABS, side airbags etc.
