Hey. I currently have a 1991 Celica GT with the 3SGE engine and its an automatic. I want to purchase the 3SGTE engine to replace mine, and it comes with a manual transmission. My step-dad knows how to do the engine swap saposidly. but can some one give me all the advice they can on a project like this? If you really know what your talking about PM me so I can get it at a later time.

well my step mom has a 90' toyota celica gt with a 92 MR2 5sfe, its a pretty quick car since its so light, the motor swap was a pain since we (my dad and i) had never done a fwd car before. I wanted the 3sgte, but since its her car, my dad wouldn't go for it. Making an automatic to a stick, your gonna have to put in the clutch pedal and setup all the linkage, plus you have all the shift linkage to setup. Good luck, it will be well worth it
