i just got enough money for my TRD exhaust and after some wheeling and dealing im getting it for 428 (previously thought it would be 600) from carson toyota and im having installed by a local dealer for 60 dollars (previously thought it would be 102 from the dealer i actually bought the car from) im having it installed by a dealer to get the 1 year warranty and id rather have a professional do it anyway.
im just pumped that i managed to save like 200 dollars. woo
im ordering it tommorow when my dad is home with his credit card =)

if you have a hookup, do a custom exhaust! it's cheaper. i'm getting TRD piping with either a 5Zigen or an IS300 muffler. total cost? $120. ![smile smile](https://celicahobby.com/forums/images/graemlins/celica/smile.gif) my friend's dad is a manager at toyota

umm save the $60 and buy a set of car ramps, a 14mm deepwell socket, a ratchet, and a 14mm wrench, and install it yourself so not only would you not have given the $60 for no reason, but you have some things you can use later on

the trd exhaust comes with a 1 year warrantte against defects no matter who installs it but if toyota installs it it will be covered by teh factory exhaust warrantee for how ever long that is I think it's like 60,000 miles on the toyota warranty. The exhaust wrrany is for manuafacturing defects, but not corrosion or anything else. if a weld breaks on it's own (no rust/road hazard damage, they'll fix it in the first year, that's about it. If the dealership installs it, it's covered under the car's warranty, if in 60,000 miles it rusts, breaks, falls off, whatever, you'll get it replaced for free (as in a new TRD exhaust). no matter what happens, the exhaust will be fixed or replaced at no cost. It's worth the $60 or so to have the dealer do the install. better than paying another $500 on an exhaust if it breaks after it's first year of use.
