Well i just thought i would talk about my little incident because i feel like i am going to kill someone soon if i dont let out some anger. I was sitting waiting to turn at a stop sign when this lady in a dodge intrepid stops behind me then all of a sudden hits me. I was thinking to myself wtf juss happened. I get out of my car and to my surprise she took off the paint where her license plate had hit me and the fiberglass just spider-webed all over and shows through the paint like no other. I will post up some pics soon hopefully just been to busy. I was wondering if anyone knew if i would get the same bumper that got messed up or would they give me a trd bumper since that is the one that came with the car.?????

I know the feeling! Same thing happened to me, broke off my TRD lip in the back and tweaked my trunk a bit. I hate looking at the back of my car now too.

My friend can fix bumpers. Every time one of our friends cracks their bumper from stuff like parking, accidents or what not, we take it off and fiberglass the crack on bothsides then sand it down till its VERY smooth. He even shaves cars pretty well. It takes about 2 to 3 days, depending on how lazy we feel rofl!

insurance adjusters must hate celicas, it seems like one out of every three members here gets in an accident.

damn, are our cars accident magnets?

I didnt ask what her excuse was because i was too pissed to talk to anyone and i just kinda walked away for a bit to cool off. Anyways i just got an estimate on the repairs and its gonna cost them $800 for everything and the lady's husband is just going to pay me the $800 to be done with it.
Good deal or no????

Lots of money right there. They have to give you the TRD bumper no matter what. Her insurance has to pay for it. Bodyshops rather replace the whole bumper than repair it. Too much work to repair the bumper. Sorry bro.

Well, that is nice of them to offer to pay; they can't be all bad. If you file a claim, it will of course be a hassle . . .
