Installed the front windsplitter from TCS. The installation was pretty simply. The hardest part was cutting the carbon fiber and getting both sides to look even. I tried cutting it with the Dremel. I cut about 5 inches and broke 2 cutters. Finally, I had to bowrrow my Dad's power saw. Everything took about 5 hours. I think it turned out pretty good. Here are a few pics. Thanks. Hehehe... does it mean you're getting one? Na, I'm not one of those guys who sees something and then copies it... ...also, not for $330.

Looks awesome Tony. You car is beautiful. I totally know what ya feel I can relate to how hard it is choppin' up that splitter piece but once you finished it's just beautiful! I have one on mine I had to re-adjust it 3 times before it actually flowed. The harddest part I would say would be carving it out with a dremel mine broke one me a couple times to and even burned lol it's a very very time consuming job but if you have the right tools it can be pulled off just right. Keep it up bro sweeet!!

The windsplitter extended the "lip" about 2 inches. I barely have enough room to get out of my driveway. hehhehe...

The windsplitter is universal fit. You don't have to cut it if you don't want to. I just wanted a more custom look. Everything flows better if you match the lines of your front bumper.

i wanna get that so badd but i have the veilside and it wont fit since the base of the front bar isnt straight and so 1 would have 2 heavily modify the splitter to make it fit. also, the veilside fornt sticks out heaps already..another 2 inches would be murder!!

yes how long will it take to install on the blitz? Is it going to be hard and are the holes pre-drilled in the actual piece?

they are for both go and show. but with that thing on if you hit the road with the front bumper.such as coming out of your drive way, or curb at a gas station. it will crack and 340.00 will be in the drain. so if you get it be extra careful.

whats the function of the splitter? sorry dumb question is it so your front bumper wont scracth on the ground or does it have something to do with air A front splitter serves many purposes. As I plan on doing a how-to on my car in the future, this seemed like a great opportunity to list some of the performance benifits of adding one of these beauties... first off, there is the issue of aerodynamics. A splitter is far more than just a wing. to explain, we look at another high-speed vehicle, the fighter jet. In the early days of aeronautics, fighter jets had simple nose cones much like this: L]]]> pilots noticed that, at high speeds, the jets of the day would shake violently, this was due to an aerodynamic principle called "suface drag". apparently, air flowing along the skin of the aircraft was so turbulent, and put so much resistance on the skin of the airplane, vortices and ripples caused by an irregular flow of air when the nose of the plane would break through the atmosphere. the fix was a simple one, they added a long antenna-like probe to the nosecone like this: L]]]>- The Splitter was born. Splitters on a car do the same thing, they help to initially penetrate the air, allowing it to flow around the front-end of your airdam, and your car, with less surface drag. this allows for better handling at speed. A good comparison for a splitter vs. no splitter is the difference between a small-gauge syringe when getting a booster shot, and using a large knitting needle to give an injection. Am I making sense so far? Seccond advantage, it helps protect the front bumper from scrapes and such. it's cheaper to replace the splitter than it is to respray the front bumper. Another benifit is the ability to tune aerodynamic performance by adjusting the splitter to produce more or less drag, as well as fine-tuning downforce. A splitter also helps re-direct air under the engine bay, helping to keep things cooler (like a hoodscoop under the car...) all that holds true, plus it looks cool. Just be sure to make rear aerodynamic adjustments to accompany your new splitter. For example, I will be adjusting my TRD spoiler to give more downforce in the rear once I add the splitter. having your nose grip hard at speed with a loose back end can be bad.
