I want to get my windows tinted but i dont want to deal with cops being able to give me a fix it ticket.. i heard that you can only have 70% on the front two side windows.. does anyone have pictures they can show me of their car with 70%?

u can get away with 50% it's close to 70%.. that's what i have in the front and in the back i have 5% or 15% (i forgot lol)



haven't been pulled over for it and it looks nice.. but i really want 35%

somewhere on here i posted up my pics of my car with 35% (which is the legal tint here in Cali.) Cops have been alongside my car and have seen it form about a foot away. And I haven't been giving any warnings whatso ever.

that's what i thought too. tints are illegal on the two front sides
doesn't matter because i just had mine tinted 53%

i got 15% front windows and 5% in tbe back and LOVE IT!

It really depends. I have 5% back and 15% sides and I haven't receieved any problems from the police. I've been pulled over for speeding and the cop said nothing about it. Then again, my friends wife got a fix it ticket for her tint after having it on for over two years! (hers was limo, all the way around) I've only had mine about a month or so. It all depends on the police in your area.

It only takes one anal cop to get a ticket.

california tint law as of august 9th 2004:
70% front windows (not 35%)
only the top 4 inches on the front window shield can be tinted/covered
and any percent on the other windows

u cannot tint ur windows red amber or blue in california and the tint must not increase reflectivity (MNIR)

anyone know what it is in arizona, phoenix area?

does anyone have pictures of thier 50% or 45% tint? and possibly 70%.. trying to decide between these three.. what are your thoughts?

^^ go with 50% lumar or lunar tint (spelling) not to dark and not to light just in between..

dude 70% is a waste of money.. honestly, its as light as stock windows. Even stock windows aren't 100%... I was hesitant, but i got 32% fronts, 6% sunvisor on the windshield, and 12% on the backs. 32% is even light enough to see the person's face/outline but not TOO light. Blocks sun and it's great. 32-35 is the best for the fronts.. cops saw it and did nothing.. i mean, honestly, the cops gotta be a SERIOUS dick if he gets out of his way to turn on his lights, stop you and give you a stupid fix it ticket. (unless it's a hazardous issue like no brake lights)... 32%-35% ... get it, you won't regret it. LOL i was so paranoid the first couple days after i got the tint because i couldn't roll down the windows for 2-3 days.. so i HAD to just keep it up. My heart jumped everytime a cop passed, but nothing happened. I don't even roll down my windows that much .. If you're worried, (especially at night), just open the cover of the sunroof or OPEN the sunroof and it'll make your tint look lighter. Btw, i live in the OC and OC cops are known to crack down on Modders and what not.

70% is a TOTAL waste. It will just look like your windows are dirty.

My car is currently 35% on the front two, and 20% rear sides and hatch. I've never had a cop say anything to me about it. If you want to play it 100% safe, go 50% in the front and 35% in the rear. The ONLY way they would EVER say anything about 35 up front would be if you were already pulled over for something else.

i know what you guys mean about haveing 70 tint and the windows looking dirty.. now im thinking of getting a little lighter than limo tint.. my friends say that haveing really dark tint in the back and a lighter tint in the front looks ugly so ill do like 30%or 40% all around??
