Hey im just wondering how much i can get for my celi its a 2000 GTS with 27k mile engine (but shows 40k on odometer) SALVAGE title its great condition everything works fine clean interior as well as exterior heres a pic ,,, and has AEM intake and some other very smal mods
depends what kind of damage was caused to determine a salvaged title. salvaged titles tend to drop the value very low the most ive seen 7th gen go for with a salvaged title but still looks good and running is 9k.
well the damage was to the front had to replace bumper radiator windshield air bags but me and my dad did a good job you wouldnt even know it was wrecked
I think you'll be luck to get anything in the 5 digits. Salvage title is a high price drop. Most dealers wont even consider taken them in as a trade in.
SOLD to cegonax-man I think You'd be better off whacking a turbo on it if you want something quicker, car certainly looks the business it'd be a shame to lose a heap of cash on such a nice car

I would trade you but i don't think you want a van !...n e way'si still owe $8376,73 on the van still!...But your celica she's awesome very clean good luck on the selling bit! ...Why are you selling it
expect to get anything less than $8,000 ull be able to sell it for $7000 btw how much did you buy it for? did you buy it salvaged? i bought a 02 gts with 15K miles for 10,000$, but i got it at a great deal, so i assume urs will go at 7
umm i bought my celi salvaged for like 3k and fixed it up so no matter wat id be makin money of it and i thik i can get more then 7 thats for sure because some people are dumb and have no idea wat salvage is and dont even check

So your going to try and rip someone off? Sorry to break it to you but a lot of people know what salvage title means you will probably be able to get maybe 7,000 for it, it looks nice and all but with the damage and replaced airbags that drops the price down quite alot...
When I was looking for a car for my stepdaughter, it was amazing the number of private people trying to sell cars with salvage titles. Quite a few wouldn't even tell me up front they had a salvage title, hoping I wouldn't run a Carfax on the VIN (obviously trying to scam people). I walked away from all of them.
Salvage titles are a tricky thing; most people will automatically whack a BIG chunk off the price, if they don't just walk. I'm not sure what KBB has to say about salvage titles, but they may give some meaningful numbers. Worth a look.
Personally, it would depend on what I wanted the car for. In the case of my stepdaughter, I wouldn't even consider it. If it was for a daily driver for myself, and I expected to put a lot of miles on it to the point where it wouldn't be worth much anyway, then maybe, but only for big chunk under blue book.
You'll be lucky to get $7k for it, if the person checks the vehicle history report. You could get kbb price if you scam the person by not letting them know it has a st.
I'm just a crosshair I'm just a shot away from you

Yeah, well, I'd lose a lot of my own self-respect if I purposefully tried scamming someone like that. Its probably safest to assume everyone will do a Carfax before biting.
Vlad, if you want honesty points, you should consider doing a Carfax yourself to show people who want to have a look at the car. Emphasize the rebuilding you've done, and the obvious quality work that's gone into it. I hope you can find someone who appreciates the car. It looks great!
If you go ahead and show them the vehicle history up-front and are very open about explaing how your rebuilt the car, you'd possibly do much better than the $7k

u cant really fool someone with salvage car without telling them. first of all, you GOTTA tell them that its a salvage. second, if the price of the car is that cheap ppl are gonna wonder why. third, when you buy a salvage, you get a slip that looks like a diploma that says SALVAGE. when you register ur car, ull know for sure that the car is salvage. if you dont, either the guy fooled you like crazy, and ur stupid. but if vlad repaired the car and is trying to sell it for profit, theres no ripping off anyone here. its all business. he goes to auction, buys a car, and sells it for a little profit. when someone doesnt tell you that the car is salvage, or afraid to say it, that means the car was kinda hit hardcore or theres a frame damage on the car. but, from my own experience, salvage can either be great cars or worst cars just like any other used car. my uncle had a salvage civic 98, and for 6 years all he did is change the engine mounts which is a common honda problem. my mom has a salvage camry for almost 2 years and were about to change hte idle control valve (commom camry problem). when it comes to buying salvage cars, you gotta buy it from the right place. buy it from a ur bodyshop guy, someone you trust his word. the bodyshops we bought the car from we know them and know how they do their work and wut kinda cars they buy: very minor damages, no frame and mechanical jobs at all, reliable with low miles.
My guess is Vlad's car is very too. But you'd be surprised at the number of people trying to pass off salvage title cars out there as "pristine", and expecting to get blue book. I ran into a ton looking for my stepdaughter's car. I guess they hope the buyer is an inexperienced newbie they can scam. As the saying goes, "there's a sucker born every minute."
actualy i just know a person who did that some wakko girl looked at his car bought it next day didnt even ask if it was salvage and he never told her.. well ill post my vin so som1 can look up on carfax because i dont even know my cars history and i think theres some thngs i should know about it...
