I have my rules on eBay products, but if you really like it then i'm happy for you.

I looked up your G-tech meter. Apparently, the company doesn't make you model anymore. rofl

eBay CAI = AEM Gen 1 CAI. Same EXACT piping and brackets, and an even better MAFS mount. Only difference is the filter (generic K&N style) which can be upgraded to a real K&N for under $50. Plus, you won't feel bad when you decide to mod it to eliminate bogging and CELs, which requires cutting the piping. grin Kind of a waste to spend $200+ on a name brand intake that will just cause bogging and CELs when you're gonna cut it up in the end anyway. wink

You need to mount that G meter somewhere in the middle of the windshield, preferably low, or it's numbers will be off.

Does anyone know how the ebay-intakes compare to the AEM intakes? If you get the ebay intake and get a K&N filter for it, would the performance be close to the AEM?, since someone said that the pipe diameter and bending is the same as AEM. And another thing, what is the cutting deal, ive never hear of any cutting to eliminate bogging and CEL's. If so, what do you cut?
please answer these ?'s for me because i was thinkin to get the AEM CAI, but money is an issue, now that I saw this thread, i realize, why would i spend 200+ on a brand name intake when i can get one for a fraction of the cost and get similar results.

when i installed my intake the only cutting i did was to the plastic fender wall liner. it fits perfect behind the left fog light. i just have the intake on and i notice a great deal of sound/power. im gonna upgrade the the K&N filter but the one that comes with it is pretty good also. i've only had one check engine light show up because the first time i put it on, i was trying to race the sunlight and lost.lol. but the next day when i spent some time with it, it never came back on!! its running strong too! just be careful how you handle the intake tube...somehow taking my intake from my house to my car (which is like 10 feet) i managed to put a small dent in it.lol. but other than that, i for one recommend the ebay intake!!!! thumbsup

i've seen all the intakes thats made for the celi, but i'd rather save that 300 for and intake and put it toward my exhaust! what you have to cut SIKZBEEDGTS, is your intake pipe to fit in the wheel well. what the mod does is use your stock airbox tube that connects to the engine and attaches to your ebay intake, thus making it longer, making you have to cut your pipe. only bad thing is your engine bay will look like crap but if your just going for performance do it! sanding, painting, cutting up your stock airbox is required though...it looks real nice after its done.
