Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior put on my new kit today!

Since i bought this kit several months ago a couple more guys got this kit...but i still think it looks awesome. I'm glad it's finally on because i had a lot of trouble dealing with corrupt salesman who screwed me over and postponed this thing big time. oh well here's some pics:

thats it...i guess the rest of my pics are redundant. I put this kit on at this guy's shop (the guy in pic 4). He's an awesome guy...specializes in porsche, vw, bmw...basically any german car, especially street/show performance and classics. He was nice enough to let me use his lift etc. and give me a hand...mad props to Mr. Burkit!!!

my parents are already mad at me as it is with spending almost all of my life savings so far to buy this car and all the goods for it...but maybe i can squeeze more into it...probably just an intake, rims, and trd springs and that's it for a while because i'll be at college by then.

got the body kit and taillights off of ebay...but i bought it from a licensed seller from the manufacturer...so i know they're legit.

I would go wingless, lower, & some 18" mags if I were you

I dunno i don't think i'm going to go wingless...i actually like the look of the stock wing because it's pretty low profile...and i just like it better with a wing than without one so ima leave it. But yeah 18's and a drop are my next mod i hope...

Yeah i love those tails...was never really a big fan of the euro-style because they're too flashy imo...the redouts are nice but sometimes look too stock...and these are nice because it's not just a plastic cover over the stockers...most people like em because it's generally clean and low pro

There is one "licensed retailer" of JP body kits on ebay. This company behind the username marowbdr had an excellent reputation...over 99% feedback.

I bought the kit, sent the paypal, and sent an email to the seller. I never got a response, but my paypal money was received and taken out. I kept emailing, calling...but got no response. I filed a claim with ebay and paypal, but neither would refund my purchase.

I found an email address for the JP plant in Tokyo (uknowingly at the time) and emailed them a complaint. They forwarded it to the San Diego plant...and the guy there who was some manager or something emailed me back...saying that the guy who handled my ebay order was intercepting some body kits between the manufacturer at the distributor, selling them at the distributor's cost...and putting the paypal orders into his account and shipping off the kits. He got caught and charged with embezzlement right after he took my money.

The nice manager at the distributor shipped me the kit...i got my money refunded by Visa...and they're filing a lawsuit against this guy. So actually...I only paid $200 for that kit...and that was for the paint...

$200 for the paint job, thats a great deal

yea im looking forward to gettig this kit...although i really dont find the rear to my liking. how much did you pay for the kit? who didn you buy it from on ebay? hows the fitment?

Yeah i knew the guy...and it was a small local shop. Did a pretty decent job...another shop estimated $400
