Is it possible to use the intercooler that comes with the all-trac on the MR2 3sgte? I am going to do the swap, and I want to use the intercooler that is on top with the MR2 engine. Is this possible, or may I say a good idea?

Difficult.
You will need an intercooler with entrance and exit on the same side. Otherwise, piping would be a big headache for you. Also, MR2T IC comes with fan shroud, which you will nee on the MR2 application. Somehow, I saw many of stock MR2T a/a ICs for sale often on MR2 board and eBay.

Do you think I will be better off getting the 3sgte that comes with the celica that has the top mount IC. Or should I get the MR2 and get a front mount intercooler? Which would you do?

if you get the celica top mount you need to make sure you have the all trac hood to get air to it. If you get the MR2 its not that big of a problem. I'm going with the top mount no real performance reason I know of just a preference. the size of the intercooler matters but i don't know if there is a difference in the mr2 and celi does anyone?

oh yumy. ok so the 3sgte right?? and we want to put a top mount intercooler from the all trac into the mr2? well then... it is posible you have to custom mount it so that the trunk vents over your engine hit the engine and the tmic. you cannot put this bad boy anywhere else. and i have seen it done. a guy i new back in denver did this on his mr2. so i hope that can clear some of your issues up. you kind of just have to get eprimential on your car to see what she likes and doesnt like. ok good luck.

vtec really does suck!.

How is putting an alltrac a/a TMIC on the top of the engine of MR2 going to work? confused There is no way to cool it and it is going to sit there and getting heat soaked. Side mount or w/a IC is the only way to go.
