Well I was getting kind of curious on the TRD ECU for the celica so that I could get the supercharger hooked up.

So I called TRD and asked them about it and they said that they aren't even developing it.

I heard on here that TRD was devloping an ECU for the celica so that we could hook the TRD Supercharger up to the celicas.

One of the guys on here said that it was going to be released at like the end of october or early november.

So I thought that something was going on but I guess I was wrong.

they wouldn't since the celica won't be in production for the states and a majority of the owners for the GT will not be buying it to make it fit.

BUT, because the celica is stopping production, TRD should get more parts out for it

Just use something like the PowerFC or E-Manage. Should be much more powerful than some TRD junk.

Yeah they arent releasing it. They told me they were and then I called back and that same guy said no. I am going up to monkeywrenchracing around december to get emanage hooked up so I will tell you how things go.

Def. wait until I try it though because an off brand unichip didnt work so who knows...

Everytime I talk to TRD the guys are jackass's. They dont seem to even want to help you.

The guy I need to talk to at MWR went to SEMA, so he said to give them a call on monday to get an appointment set up.

I have an appointment set up for Novermber 26th and 27th, the friday and saturday after Thanksgiving. I can't wait!! Wish me luck. At the very least I will be getting emanage out of this if the supercharger wont work.

i would think it will be a little worthless to get a supercharger if you trying to keep ur car under warranty. its still gonna be out of warranty cz you changing the ecu or tuning it.
if thats wut you guys are going for, then dont do it. if you just going for supercharger power, then thats cool. but i myself would spend that money on a turbo kit and modding the engine a bit. ur choice though, you made the decision and good luck and let us know wutsup. ur gonna have one unique car for sure!

Yeah I realize I wont have the warranty. I have a poor auto so supercharged power is def. what I want.

i would get the pfc or emanage..probably a lot cheaper than TRD anyways

if you want an SC you'll be better off goin full custom. the blitz kit and trd kit arent made for sick power. they are econo super chargers. lol

I don't wanna blow my fucking engine up, and I don't have the money to put into my motor to have a turbo installed...

:whatever: I dont race my car, I just want daily driveability and the being able to get the trd unit for a third of the price presented itself.

if you want economical power why would you boost it at all? stay stock or N/A get I/E or I/H/E and forget about it
