if you "plus size" the tire and rim, meaning to go 18 you would need to go to a 215/35 r18 the rotational mass will be close to stock... the difference wont be very apparent

Added weight at the wheels sucks. If you are for show get 18's. If not go in between and get 17's ![thumbsup thumbsup](https://celicahobby.com/forums/images/graemlins/celica/thumbsup.gif)

with 17s you can afford a little higher profile tire and you won't be so concerned with every pothole...depending on how road conditions are. 18s do looks very good though.

depends on the weight of the wheel itself too, e.g., 18lb 18" rim vs. 22~24lb 18"

all depends on the rims. rims light volks is not bad because they're pretty light. my 17's are about the same as stock

i have 17's with a wider tire and it feels faster since i'm making more ground contact so pay attention to the width of the rim and tire set up
respect the gt-s

check this out... https://celicahobby.com/tech/speedcalc.htmlit will by a little bit. You'd be a lot better off going with 225/35, unless you're going for show and don't care much about speed. The thing that will hurt the most is your acceleration.
