When you guys installed the RMM sides did you guys take that black plastic piece off or did you put it over it? In my situation i bought by car from the dealer with the TRD kit. I never had that black plastic piece and my car is in the shop in the process of getting the sides fitted and painted. Should i buy that plastic pieces? Help i need to know before the shop messes up. thanks

Are you talking about the black rubber side molding toyota puts around the front, sides, and rear of their kit? If that's the problem I highly doubt they are neccessary. You don't need to the buy the plastic pieces they're just their to protect the body paint from scratches and to get rid of the gap fitment if any... If I remember correctly the RMM sides are FG and should fit really well so you don't need to put them on. If you mold the sides to the car you won't ever need them. Sides molded are less likely to crack but I don't reccomend molding anyway off topic. Don't get the piece if the kit fits real well with no gaps the dealer will charger you more then it's worth thumbsup

Yeah thanks. They are actually like some ridiculous price of 370 or so a SIDE!!!! The body shop actually figured it out and supposedly invented something so that side skirts would be on nice and firm.
