Very nice. thumbsup

If you don't mind me asking, what made you go with the STi over all the other cars out there? (Evo, 350z, G35, ect)

Very nice ride... can't wait to see if you mod it any. thumbsup

well thats long story.
i wanted something fast, with 4 dr, and comfortable with good quality and rare. And STI fit in all of that...
i mean it is the fastest japanese car in US.

reasons
-350z-didn't like two seater and everybody has them.
-g35-too expensive and not very fast.
-rx-8-too slow and its mazda
-evo-this was very ahrd decision, but evo had really crappy interior and mitsu is very strick on warranty. plus everybody has them. Sti had better options and quality was much better.

trust me i did 5 month worth of research on comparing these cars.

Its not an 04 sti I think you mean.

Don't like them personally. They just look old and ugly if you ask me. Trading in for a Celica I would have got something with a bigger engine. I think the logical step from a Celica is a 330 BMW. Would leave an STi standing from 100mph. Also, Imprezas are just way way too common now.

Another thing I don't like about them is the interior. It just looks really cheap, really basic, and really plasticy. Reminds me a bit of the pre 2003 Celica interior.

And white?? What the hell posessed you to buy a white one?

Ill leave on a positive note though because I've driven one and it is a great drivers car. The car gives you a lot of confidence in corners and it never feels like its being pushed near its handling limits. Its quite quick up to 100mph, but then like all highly stressed low capcity Japanese engines it does start to noticeably run out of steam. I was offered a 24 hour test drive in one, but I didn't take it up. I think I was afraid I'd sell the Celica and buy one. I know I would have regretted it in the long run because theres nothing more satisfying than turning heads.

Only yesterday I had some old guy explaining to me for 20 minutes how beautiful he thought my car was. I can't imagine many comments like that would come my way in an Impreza.

well im sorry that it didn't meet your expectation.
Just to clarify your understanding...

-STI's have very strong 1,2,3rd gears. However 4,5,6th gears are not as strong. That doesn't not mean 4,5,6th gears are slow, they are actually really fast, but just not as fast as 1,2,3rd. I've raced my friends
350z(same one from the picture with intake, fullstraightpiping exhaust), 350z are known for their top-end hp for high speed. However i was actually able to pull on him going about 80-135mph. I really don't think 330 ci can beat sti after going 100mph. Because i also raced a new 745 or 750 series(correct me if im wrong) with having 4 people in my car. And beat him @ going 130mph. So bigger displacement doesn't necesery means its faster. Plus who cares about high speed, when you can dust them in 1/4 mile...

-impreza are common now days, however not as common as your 330ci bmw(these are most common bmw in the street) wrx and sti are totally different thing. I see maybe one or two STI in each town. But i see 5-6 EVOs in each town. I remember when i had my celica, i would get reved on, but now i get props from all the racers.

-04 interior are totally different from 05 interior. In 05 all the dash trims are soft leather, plus much better options such as 6 disk in dash changer, much more detail than 04 STI's. Every detail of the the interior is very high quality. Everybody said that 05 STI has very good interior.

-White... I had my reasons...
first of all everybody has blue sti or wrx. It is the best selling color for sti and wrx. There for i wanted to be different.
2nd, White is very easy color to take care of, and very clean.
3rd, On 05 STI's, whites were limited edition, where they only made 100 of them in US
4th, I was deciding on either black or white, but black was just too high maintanence. Even the black sti owner told me so.
Last, white is just rare, you don't see them often in the street, so far i seen one white STI other than mine.

thanks for the reply

1st 2nd and 3rd are faster than 4th 5th and 6th? NO SHIT SHERLOCK! HA HA HA.

I'm not gonna argue BMW vs Impreza because the BMW is in a different leauge. Unlimited 160mph is easily obtainable in the BMW whereas I know for a fact a stock STI struggles to reach 150mph. And where the STi's engine is highly stressed the BMW takes it in its stride. 6 cylinder RWD is where I'm heading next. thumbsup

Damn nice and very respectable car you got yourself. I could never imagine wanting a four door (which pisses car salesmen off smile) and on top of it white! But ya know, that is just beautiful and demands respect, cause we don't give it the justice it deserves, it'll run over my ass it's so fast smile Nice pics also, I think the interior looks so comfy you'll never have to leave.
