I think one of the reasons that it never made it to production was the fact that the bracing it would take to make the convertible stable would defeat the whole purpose of have a sport convertible. The solid roof does a lot more than most people think and actually creates a stability in the frame, or at least I think thats right...This was brought up in a previous post, but I'm too lazy to find it now.

Not feeling it for me...nice chickmobile though IMO. If I want that much sunlight, I open my damn door and step outside!!

here's another chop I made but with the veilside kit and with another angle.

It looks a TON better with that styling bar.

But still, it's just not a Celica.

i personally don't think it looks like a celica anymore either, but with a nice kit and that styling bar, I think it will look nice.
