i know the paint code for absolutly red is 3p0, but what i what to know is what company makes the paint for toyota. like my friend works at a school and im trying to have my color matched since its a 2000 and im sure its not a good as it was 5 years ago. but he said even though the machine can match the color for you it will give differnet codes for differnt brand names of paint. also what is the name of the red for the 2000 modle?

ok let me try to re explain it. i do not work at a body shop so i dont know everything exactly, but apparently they can color match you car be using a machine of some sort the measures the colors in the paint to give you a color code. problem is it will give you a differnt color code for differnt brand names of paint. and each brand name color will be off alittle bit. so the best way to have my paint match is to use the same lond of paint that toyota uses. this is just what i was told, i could be wrong.

ya dude go to the toyota dealer you would have to buy it from there if you wanted to get there paint. if you need the code for it i have it in my car. but other than that you can go to the dealer find the brand name or just buy it from there, if you want it to last long other paints are aftermarket and wont last as long a orginal.

what are you using this paint for?
cause you didn't mention it anywhere
as long as the paint matches is all that matters

this is why =D i wasnt going to say anything until i head everything on and painted. fitmit is alright maybe minor adjustments i will do myself. im also going to put everything on myself. as for primer and paint a school is going to do it. they do it for cost because the people in the class are using it for practice but the kid that is going to do it works at a cadillac dealership and is just taking the class to get certified. ps:: in the picture my hood is still popped up

Maaco will take a chip of your current paint and give you the exact color to match it with for 13.66 in seattle, so if you wanna know go to macco, dont ever let them paint it tho!

yeah the side skirt is off because i didnt remove the stock black side skirt (if you wanna call it that) with out that on, it fits, just alittle tight though. i paid $420 for the kit and like 150 to ship or something like that so i think it was a good deal
