Are the hotchis springs better performance wise or the TRD springs? I was already thinking TRD springs but i want good performance...

TRD is nothing more than Eibachs with Toyota's label slapped over top and I'm pretty sure you pay a higher price too because of it.
What about shocks though, going to see how long your stock shocks will last with aftermarket springs? A lot would say you may as well get some new Performance shocks slapped in there too and save on the labour pay, unless you're doing it yourself.
Hotchkis is definitely the best though, but I've never heard anything bad about Eibach and they are extremely popular.

Since you have the VS kit, I'd go with a 1" drop...TRD/Eibach.
