Hi, I'd like to introduce myself as a new member (I know I've been posting for a few days and never did, so I'll do it now  ) So here's my new Alpine IVA-C801 that I just spent big bucks on and got installed today. This one doesn't have a built in DVD player, but it does have a CD player built into the head unit (didn't want a changer). Eventually I plan to hook a laptop up to it, which will have a DVD player, GPS, and tons of mp3s. That may be a while, because as you all know, one step at a time. That's the elite remote control sitting in the added shelf. I don't know what else it's good for (my sun glasses are in the other dash compartment and my cd case is in the center)

is your side marker painted blue? No, it was an interesting side effect of changing color hues in the GIMP [ gimp.org] (free open source image editing software). Looks cool, eh?
