Hi everyone
Im a new member and I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I recently installed a Blitz power air filter in my 2002 Celica GTS. I love the performance and sound but the check engine light popped up a couple days ago. Although I heard it would happen, I dont like that little light on my dash and I heard it also retards the timing. Does anyone know anything to help out. Thanks

did you reset the ecu by unhooking the negative terminal of the battery for 10 minutes or pulling the fuse?
I get my kicks on EC.

check the vacuum lines to the intake make sure they are in the right spot and they might have come off.

ok bro, sorry it took so long, the site was down for a bit. Remove your MAFS with the two screws. Clean it with a q-tip and throttle body cleaner. There is a detailed explanation in the how to forums here. I don't know the blitz filter, but it seems odd that there are no vacuum lines? I know that will throw a cel on a Injen or AEM cai if there is a vacuum line hooked up wrong. I personally don't think its your MAFS as you should notice a performance/idling problem. But it never hurts to clean it! Try re-setting your ecu like suggested above. If not, I am sure tjat v3nom can help.
