im gonan tell you now...the xs kit...dont think about it...uhh people seem to get angry when you bring up thier name...i brang it up and they told me to go look up search...and i ordered the xs kit like 9 months ao and it never came so im switching to another kit as soon as i know which one i want... xs is trying to make a better turbo manifold at the moment but to xs at the moment means forever

I have the C2 Stage 1 kit for the GT.
I can write numbers (which I estimate at 200-210 whp and 170 bls/ft of torque) but the feeling I cannot describe.

The car just pulls and pulls. It is so much faster and the 0-150 km/h fast sprint still makes my hands shake smile

I don't know if you want a GT or GTS kit (I guess GTS), but the kits should ship very fast. GT kits are in stock if I am not mistaken, the first 5 GTS kits will be shipped out very soon. contact c2gas or sales@c2power.com

i heard xs was the best espicially since their syste uses the apexi fc preprogrammed for the stock application on the gts and probably pulls the best numbers my money on xs

XS is crap. hopefully you realize you can add the power fc to any setup wink with the SF turbo and pfc we easily pulled 277 whp and 207 wtq on a GTS. that was on a motor that had been practically destroyed by XS.

I do a lot of work with the SF guys and I love that kit. if I decide to go boosted SF is the way I'm goin.

now if you plan on going all out and pushin 300+ whp you'll want the C2 gas gearset. that set is absolutely amazing and sounds good too.

thats my opinion. anything but XS is a great way to go. thumbsup

Shipping is not much at all. Install depends on the shop, their labor prices, their familiarity with installing turbos, and the celica in general. I'd say between $500-$900.

Is that turbo designed to run purely on stock internals? (right out of the box I mean, not taking excessive upgrades into account).

i was wondering how the c2 stage 1 forced induction works with the lift engagement of the gts.

what does the dyno curve look like with FI plus lift?

is the vvtl going to have to be disengaged?

with other kits, they'd use the apexi pfc, but c2 uses the greddy e-manage (pre-tuned), does this set lift at like 10000rpm or does the turbo kit work in conjunction with the lift?

why would you set lift at 10K rpms. that sounds absolutely rediculous. it would also acomplish nothing IMO

We have tested the vvtli engine boosted w/o modding the lift engage point. We dont find it any bad to keep it in the original point. We also used PFC on that setup, but have to be honest, up today I dont think we are clever enough to make factory cam settings "much" better.

As far as I know, lift engages normally, you just can't feel it as much, because it's not as much of a change.

(ie. Going from 140 HP to 180+- is going to feel like a bigger change than going from say 260-300+-. Of course, these numbers are only very loosely based on reality, but you get the idea smile )

Hi all, the lift stays where it is, but the power delivery of the turbo is slighty flattens the power curve around the lift point, so it is not so obvious when you drive the car. It feels more natural but pushing like crazy, under and above lift point, from low as 3000 rpm to redline!

The shipping cost is 380$ for us, but i can do some discount.
I know that it is on the high side, but the EMS air service is highly reliable.

300$ for shipping is a realistic value!

For emmition controll you have to set up a new map. We have strick rules over here as well, but one of our costumer just passed smog test with remade map for the controll.

I am not sure how can you pass a visual check with a turbo, but as far as I know, our kit is the less visible kit on the market.

im really interested in the c2gas kit for gts.. but if it dosent pass smog im screwed... i live in california strict laws..

There are allready plenty Turboed celicas in CA, you should search for those guys here and on other forums, and ask about their expirience. They do solve the smog problem!

^^ I think stage 2 is just internals so you wouldnt really need the kit if you already had the internals? at least thats what I understood from their website.

St2 kits are basically the same setuo but with internals. Our st1 kits are designed to support far more power what they are limited.

You guys dont even have turbo cars, how many of you run xs turbos. XS does not suck. dont believe shit you hear. If XS sucked then about 25% of Rx7 owners wouldnt run an XS turbo kit or get their cars tuned by them.

That is the Rx7..we have Celicas...listen to what these people here have to say about them FOR the celica (not just hear but the ones that actually have ordered or tried to order)...go with C2 turbo, Gas is one badass guy...great customer service and great products...i have seen them in action. I will be buying one (I want Stage 3: internals, 550s and bigger cooler..plus a shitte load of other stuff) when i get the money (I keep saying that like i will have it tomorrow lol). Go with the C2 turbo!

I have a question about the gear-set, one of the C2 guys will probably know because I haven't seen anyone here with that gear-set. Theres a good chance I will be getting it for a graduation parents from my family or money to help me pay for it. I have a bad trannyt right now and I feel that upgrading the tranny before boosting would be a better route to go.

How would the gear set feel N/A? will my top speeed decrease due to my lack of power to compensate for the gearing? I believe my acceleration would increase if I'm not mistaken. Would this be a good decision to do before boosting? How long would it take if I ordered around april?

Sorry that was like a million questions, but I believe this would benifit anyone else who is interested in those pretty little gears thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup

good luck, good ?...all i know is that you need a 6-speed and they do recommend a better flywheel and clutch (obviously) and they do the tranny set. It is pretty hard i think but not completely positive (i forget what Atilla said sorry) but it is $3600 including LSD...they recommend that for stage 2+.


Here is my opinion...as i said before i am going for stage 3 right away so i can skip paying any more money plus you don't have to always have the psi set up high. 6-8 psi is recommended for stage 1 but you know you are going to want some more power after you get used to that setting. If i were you, i would go to stage 2, get internals, bigger intercooler, 440 injectors, clutch, flywheel and all the necessary gauges. Don't want to blow the engine! This way you could have a psi up to 14, maybe even 16 and drive like that once in a while. Also, you will need the tranny set. But this way you could have some nice power when driving but for daily driving you could have the psi lower for smoother driving. I know Gas or Atilla will answer your question better since i don't know if the gear set changes anything such as driving quality (smooth and start offs). Well I try to answer, But it will be more like my personal opinion.
I do not suggest the tranny if you dont have a bad ass st2+ setup. It would not improve anything just the costs on your account. So why then...?
The gear ratio is anyway made to be longer then then factory so it is really made for boosted cars. Also as you have to get a six speed housing I would not change the tranny before I brake the stock (as I did) tranny. Again costs rules my opinion. The tranny retail is around ~3800$ and you will have to consider a 1000$ install cost as it is not as simple as an engine. You really have to understand what you are doing. Smaay from the other forum had sent his tranny to us for the install and we delivered it back when we were ready. It was 900$ for the whole trip with our free install.

I allways try to warn ppl not to think about st3 setups from stock engine right away. I say do it step by step and you will not lose anything from the fun factor!! I am using "half" the potential of my car as I still have to get used to my st3 setup. Only tried once at 21 psi and after I was soo confused I did not know if I were a man or a women. My driving skills turned into bullshit in a secound...LOL

I have a ?...as you know i have a GT 5 speed. You mentioned to me about the 6 speed housing...i don't really know too much about trannies so does that mean I have to go buy a 6 speed (i would buy the GTS version obviously) and could you still get a short shifter? Thanks! smile

well considering you need a new one soon, best route if you tend to have trannies go bad on you and you are out of warranty.

it has great gearing ratios so sure best route if you got the money and also consider the install cost if you don't do it yourself.

yea, I'm assuming going w/ a new stock tranny + labor is gonna cost as much if not more at toyota. I was planing on buying the set drop the trannyt myself and take it to someone to install the gears. which would save me a bunch of money

I think you should change the lift point to when you have boost.We tried it on a 3ste,and it pulled a much better dyno curve.I think maby it is the same with 2zz.

wtf c2gas has a superb turbo setup compared to what else is available, look up some of the numbers people are putting down with this kit, very respectable kit..dunno y you would say you'd want a better 1, if you look at the F/I boards on the other sight, everybody has nothing but good thigns to say about this kit...
