They make stealth TV antennas for cars, they mount in the trunk, and are low profile. I'd install it under the plastic trim in the back of the trunk. that way, you don't have to put one of those limo boomerangs on your ride.
DVD...how are you going to watch TV from the car? get a satellite put on the roof? there is no option like that out yet...but I am sure it has to be in production.
No No peoples you cant use ur playstation 2 as your dvd player unless if you like sound thats crappier then a riced out civic's exhaust. I say go with the dvd cause its better quality and less stuff to have to do.
u can get TV tuners from alpine and clarion etc that can just be mounted behind a panel..never to be seen again. i dont want an ugly DVD antenna anywhere VISIBLE on my car. if it cant be hidden, i'd definitely only get a DVD player.
also, i never actually use my PS2 for DVDs...is the sound qulaity really that badd?
hi i will soon have a dvd in my car as well, but dont forget , you cannot use the system when you are driving. at least not in md. its a huge 1500.00 fine here and your car will be impounded too. so make sure you dont bypass the hook up . the dvd will only come on when you stop your car with the brake handle pulled up.so check your state laws . just a thumbs up bro.
I have heard that sound quality is horrible with the ps2 as your dvd player cause its not even stereo and its just soundes very bad heard from isaac and a place that installes these types of things
comicbookguy, wat do yew mean bypass the hookup? sozz a lil daft
ok when the shop does your dvd/tv install they have to install it to your brake handle. its the law so the shops all do this or they will be in big trouble . so when they do this to your car you cant watch the monitor when you are driving because the brake handle is pulled up . thats the only way the screen can come on when you are stopped. BUT there is a way to bypass that installation its a little device you can purchase to fix this. but it is illegal as hell. i know some people did this but its risky if a cop stops you and ask you any questions about the hook up. its a 1,500.00 fine and your car gets impounded. that would not be good at all. they dont want drivers watching tv on the road. its ok for passengers but to the drivers. that certainly takes out some of the fun of a car dvd /tv system.
oh okei. im in Australia and i dunnoe wat the law is around here, but im gonna hook the TV up to a satellite navigator so if coppers ask i can just say that its SAT NAV which is an option in the celicas over here.
